New reply

You have new message/s Hello. You have a new message at QM400032's talk page.
I just made another question. See Template talk:Jcttop#.22County_col.22 parameter for more information. (And please pardon me for using the Whisperback template. I need this to be urgent and I know how much you hate Talkback, so I decided I could use this "less obtrusive" template. 71.145.130.39 (talk) 21:20, 16 May 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by QM400032 (talkcontribs) 23:31, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

I didn't know about this template, but I like it. Thanks for not using Talkback. TCN7JM 21:28, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

The above review has been inactive for 30 days, and this is the required notification of that effect, per WP:HWY/ACR. Interested editors are encouraged to enter "Keep" or "Remove" declarations, or continue working on the article to ensure that it will remain at A-Class standards. If no attempts are made to work on the article, and a net 3 Remove declarations have not been entered, the article will remain at A-Class. --Rschen7754 23:52, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Highway

Hello again! Hope this finds you ok. I was reviewing this new article about a county highway, and am unsure as to whether it's notable. Any comments? Thanks! FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 03:37, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

What a coincidence. We were just discussing this at #wikipedia-en-roads connect (which you're definitely welcome to join any time you have a question about road articles, by the way). We decided that it was notable enough to keep its own article. Also, it's not a county highway. It's a concurrency of multiple U.S. Routes. TCN7JM 03:55, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Spooky! Ha ha, looks like we're on the same page. Ok then, cheers! FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 14:34, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre

Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).

So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:

  • Recruiters: The main task of a recruiter is to teach users that have never reviewed a Good article nomination how to review one. To become a recruiter, all you have to do is meet this criteria. If we don't get at least 5-10 recruiters to start off with (at the time this message was sent out, 2 recruiters have volunteered), the Recruitment Centre will not open. If interested, make sure you meet the criteria, read the process and add your name to the list of recruiters. (One of the great things about being a recruiter is that there is no set requirement of what must be taught and when. Instead, all the content found in the process section is a guideline of the main points that should be addressed during a recruitment session...you can also take an entire different approach if you wish!) If you think you will not have the time to recruit any users at this time but are still interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still add your name to the list of recruiters but just fill in the "Status" parameter with "Not Available".
  • Co-Director: The current Director for the centre is me (Dom497). Another user that would be willing to help with some of the tasks would be helpful. Tasks include making sure recruiters are doing what they should be (teaching!), making sure all recruitments are archived correctly, updating pages as needed, answering any questions, and distributing the feedback form. If interested, please contact me (Dom497).
  • Nominators, please read this: If you are not interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still help. In some cases a nominator may have an issue with an "inexperienced" editor (the recruitee) reviewing one of their nominations. To minimize the chances of this happening, if you are fine with a recruitee reviewing one of your nominations under the supervision of the recruiter, please add your name to the list at the bottom of this page. By adding your name to this list, chances are that your nomination will be reviewed more quickly as the recruitee will be asked to choose a nomination from the list of nominators that are OK with them reviewing the article.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along.

A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk)

I'd love to, but I'm already far too busy doing stuff on this wiki and other wikis. Sorry. TCN7JM 22:51, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Photo request

Do you take and upload pictures? At the National Register of Historic Places wikiproject, we maintain lists of historic sites for every county in the country, and we try to get as many pictures as possible, but we sorely need help in South Dakota — if you go to Wikipedia:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places/Progress, you'll see that South Dakota has the second lowest ratio of photos to sites for any state nationwide. We have slightly better coverage of the Sioux Falls area, but we're still really weak there. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Nyttend (talk) 23:56, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

I can upload pictures, but my camera is being fixed right now. It'd be a couple days. I'd love to help, though. TCN7JM 00:00, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Talkback

Hi TCN7JM, you have new messages on your Malay Wiki talk page here. :) Arctic Kangaroo () 16:12, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for welcoming me to that wiki! If I knew how to speak Malay, I certainly would contribute to it. Oh well. TCN7JM 00:37, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
I also can't speak Malay, but currently trying to learn. If you did notice my userpage (en.wiki and ms.wiki), I can only speak very little/basic Malay at the moment. Hopefully I can up that to at least ms-3 (advanced). On my ms.wiki user page, I have stated my reasons for helping that wiki, which I usually welcome users and revert vandalism. Cheers. Arctic Kangaroo () 06:40, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Ah, nice. Well, happy Malay learning! TCN7JM 06:42, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
