Howdy

Hey man whats up. Congrats on the project, by the way, I'm seeing a good progress. Anyway, I've seen your names on loads of project pages, which is a bit strange for me, frankly, especially when you put "founder of the project". Try read this and you'll see why you somewhat need to avoid that. I admire your decision to create the project, and I believe many people do as well, that's why you don't really need to put that phrase that often. Cheers man good luck. Imoeng 12:15, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah man I know that feeling since I started WP:INA. As a founder, or leader, if you wish, you need to cleverly say to certain members to cooperate with the project, not by just saying you are the founder. Well actually, since this is Wikipedia, everyone should be able to edit whatever page they want, WP:BOLD. Whether or not the edit is appropriate, you should also be able to discuss it with the editor. Well of course, not by saying, "Hey I'm the founder". Cheers man. Anyway don't forget to sign your posts. - Imoeng 22:25, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Real Madrid shirt numbers

All the shirt numbers for the incoming players are just guesses and therefore unofficial. Van Nistelrooy wearing #9 was actually from a statement by club president that he will be the new #9 in the Real Madrid website. I think the statement was made in June. Again, this is unofficial. As for Dudek & Codina, in Spain, #1 is usually reserved for the top goalkeeper (Iker Casilla), #13 is for the back-up goalkeeper (Dudek), and #25 is reserved for the third goalkeeper (Codina) if there is a 3rd GK on the roster. Numbers 1, 13 & 25 are mandated by Rfef to be assigned to goalkeepers if there are three GK on the official first team roster (usually submitted before the first match of the season or at the close of the transfer window.) I have no ideal about the rest. I can only give my reason for my edits. Raul17 16:21, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

U2 Project Newsletter

In regard to the message you sent me, I'd be more than happy to contribute to the newsletter, but I don't think it'd be possible to do one before the end of the month. So like you suggested, we can just start on August if you like. Let me know what you think anyway.

--Joelster 22:21, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

As it turns out, the newsletter was easier than I thought. Have a look at it and see what you think (feel free to add anything or make any corrections or changes). We still might be able to make the July deadline. Sorry if I've mucked you around.

Regarding your question here, I've saved it here. --Joelster 01:05, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

U2 WikiProject Newsletter

You can release the newsletter a.s.a.p. Thanks Joelster 22:15, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

RE your message, I think it would be good to tinker around and change things for the August newsletter. I noticed that on the dark green heading, the blue links don't really stand out as much as they should. Also, I was thinking about maybe start a triva section in the newsletter - maybe each month we could have an interesting tidbit of U2-related info. Let me know what you think. In regard to Merbabu's comment below about reliable references, I get my info either from U2.com or Wikipedia. But also I think we should concentrate on really getting this project up and running, maybe setting some goals - i.e. promote the U2 article to FA status etc. And, I know I'm rambling on here, but I checked the history of some of the main U2 articles and I sent an invite to those who were frequent editors (other than those who were already members, of course), there were maybe 10 that I sent an invite to. Since then 2 new members have signed up and I got an expression of interest on my talk page from another. So it's all coming along nicely, I think. --Joelster 21:44, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Housekeeping

Smithcool & Joelster, I'd like to put together a few housekeeping points for the newsletter. ie, the need to provide reliable references, etc. Unfortunately tonight I cannot do this properly as I found this great new Pinot Noir (even though it is from New Zealand, it is a stunner). If I don't add to the newsletter in 24 hours, please distribute without me. --Merbabu 14:11, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
