You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Rschen7754 23:11, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have blocked you indefinitely per your final warning regarding copyright violations. The article Horry County Police was almost entirely a copyright violation. --Rschen7754 23:13, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

What a bunch of bull I edited the text into my own words and tried to reword the list the best I could} and there was no need to delete the page it just need to be re-written is all and anyways I might just end up recreating the page. To me it looks like admins go around looking to start trouble.Sk8terguy27Talk 23:20, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I just checked the deleted article and yes, it was a blatant copyright violation. "Putting something into your own words" doesn't mean "changing the 'we's to 'they's, changing a few verb tenses, and calling it a day". You're expected to read, understand, and use the ideas in sources to create an original article, not to copy, paste, and slightly tweak someone else's wording. It doesn't matter if you planned to do that only as a first step before editing the article you had created - you can't put copyvios on Wikipedia, period, end of story. The fact that you say you plan to re-create the page makes it extremely clear to me that not only don't you understand our copyright policies, but you intend to continue editing in defiance of them if unblocked. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 23:28, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I did more than change a few 'we's to 'they's and changing a few verb tenses and some of the sentences I couldn't figure how to rewrite them so they make sense. Me recreating the page is because I want to contribute by no just editing articles, but by creating articles as well and it is an insult to me that when you say " The fact that you say you plan to re-create the page makes it extremely clear to me that not only don't you understand our copyright policies, but you intend to continue editing in defiance of them if unblocked." Sk8terguy27Talk 23:46, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently you're blocked for doing what I was going to complain about.

Anyway, I'm glad you added the information, but I should have kept a closer check on the article because that was just too much. I think I fixed it.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:08, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
