Hello

Fair use rationale for Image:BlobandHippieandRob.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BlobandHippieandRob.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Cursor.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cursor.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:29, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Your upload of File:BlobandRobandHippie.gif or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. A tag has been placed on User:Shmoey12 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  ★  Bigr Tex 01:59, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What Wikipedia is... and isn't...

[edit]

Hello Shmoey12, and welcome to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a collectively written and maintained online encyclopedia. It appears very much from your edits to date that you believe it is some sort of social networking site or personal webhost - that is very much not the case. If you're here to help us build an encyclopedia, there are lots of things you can do, from creating new articles to fixing inappropriate edits. However, if you just want somewhere you can post your pictures or write about bands you like, this is the wrong venue for you - there are alternative websites available that may be more appropriate.

Incidentally, should you decide to stick around and help out here, you may want to read the advice for younger editors, since you have identified as a minor (which, incidentally, is not usually a very smart thing to do online). Regards, Yunshui  10:32, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
