Hello, please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia Tags. There's no need to have bold, all-caps text with instructions to expand, etc. Good luck with your article. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 00:32, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Gun Politics in Sweden

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Gun Politics in Sweden, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Original research

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Nuttah (talk) 09:10, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, obviously I am too late to prevent this deletion. I am requesting you explain why you deleted this article. It had a few (not enough, but I was working on that) citations, and a very concise and organized format. There are many similar articles for other countries. Why did you delete this one. I guess I have learned to keep text backups of everything I write in order to prevent overzealous deletions like this from completely destroying my work. I really had no idea this would be necessary. I am trying to be civil, but I am extremely angered by your actions. Please explain yourself.SB Pete (talk) 01:31, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of .338 Norma Magnum

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article .338 Norma Magnum, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

New cartridge with little commercial availability.

You're kidding, right? Although a new cartridge, .338NM is being produced by Norma, one of the biggest cartridge producers in the world. It is also in the running alongside .338LM for the new US military sniper round.SB Pete (talk) 22:18, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

.338 Lapua

[edit]

Hi, Pete. I came across the .338 Lapua article, and saw the photo you had provided for that article (File:.338 Lapua Magnum pic-1.jpg). I wondered if it was possible if you could take another one, with something else in the photo for size comparison. Maybe something like File:9.3X62-30-06-8X57-6.5X55-308.JPG, File:45caliberACP.jpg, or File:NATO 7.62x51.jpg? I think it would make the image more useful. Just some food for thought. Regards, Parsecboy (talk) 14:12, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Parsecboy, I would love to, but I don't actually own any .338 LM rounds or weapons at the moment. That photo was taken of a friend's stuff and is cropped from a larger photo of it next to the .338 NM. Not exactly a useful comparison reference. I think it would be great to get a better photo in there. I just threw that one up because it seemed better than the one that was there before. Sorry I can't be of more help.SB Pete (talk) 20:13, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated M4 feedramps, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/M4 feedramps. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
