Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Budgetadvisoryservice, does not meet our username policy.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 09:07, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed your username, and since that was the only reason for the block, I will remove it. 331dot (talk) 09:34, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I’d like my editing block removed, please.

[edit]

I was recently blocked from editing, due to my user name not complying with the guidelines. I would like the block removed.

My name, Budgetadvisoryservice, is the screen name I’ve used since I was 11 years old (I’m now 36, born in ‘81). It was originally meaningless, but as is the way with any unique moniker, it has taken on meaning as an integral part of my identity.

As Budgetadvisoryservice, I have participated in many online fora and information repositories, working hard to maintain an extremely high quality and integrity of information and advice which I provide. As a result of these efforts, I am respected by my peers and audience as a reliable authority on the topics which I post on.

The name Budgetadvisoryservice is not a trade mark, nor is it copyrighted in any jurisdiction where I live and post from. While it could be seen to imply that I offer financial advice, I believe that it has taken on broader meaning as a screen name (when written exactly as it appears in my profile here) in the 25 years that I’ve been using it as such. In that time, I have made numerous edits here and on other similar sites and have never had a single complaint from someone who was mislead to believe that any content which I post would consititute financial advice.

In light of my stated case, I hope that you can come to the conclusion that my name, though somewhat suggestive of a budgeting advisor, constitutes no real or tangible threat to the conventions and integrity of Wikipedia, and see fit to unblock my account so that I can continue to contribute to this essential resource.

Peace. Budgetadvisoryservice (talk) 12:44, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did on Etiquette in Australia and New Zealand. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. As well as being unsourced, your edits included the old joke "migrants to Australia effectively increase the average IQ of both [countries]" as if it was fact and abuse such as "racist idiocy", Such edits are not acceptable.-gadfium 20:39, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You seem Australian (read: ignorant). Eat a bucket of barbecued shit and stop vandalising my edits. Rusty Saltstain (talk) 08:42, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
