    Gavin Molloy

    [edit]

Please take to the talk page and seek consensus for your changes, rather than reverting. GiantSnowman 20:04, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Molloy HAS played in 'other' competitions, he played in the Leinster Senior Cup, see e.g. this. Please self-revert before I escalate this matter. GiantSnowman 20:13, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then please add it into his stats table with a reliable citation instead of incorrectly having 0 appearances in the Other column and arguing that Other columns should be there without players making any appearances. If he has made an appearance in an other competition and it is properly sourced, then the Other column is necessary. Otherwise, it is unnecessary and should be removed until he plays in an Other competition. Rupert1904 (talk) 20:20, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:19, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2024–25 GNK Dinamo Zagreb season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ivan Lučić.

    Changes you made

    [edit]

    Hi Rupert1904,

I dont understand your comments. The OFFICIAL names of the clubs are also what they are in Wikipedia. You changed Gaziantep FK to Gaziantep, Çorum FK to Çorum, Fatih Karagümrük SK to Fatih Karagümrük as three examples. But check the wikipedia pages, they are indeed Gaziantep FK, Çorum FK, Fatih Karagümrük FK, respectively. All the other teams you have changed have similar situations. All of those names are recognized by Wikipedia and the names that are used in Wikipedia. You can click below and see the title of the pages.

    http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Gaziantep_F.K. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Çorum_F.K. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Fatih_Karagümrük_S.K.

Looking forward to hearing from you on this to understand your logic.

    Best regards,

Hi Batrogenio - if you look at my edits, you will see that I corrected these names to their proper links on wikipedia. For instance Gaziantep FK to Gaziantep F.K. and Fatih Karagümrük to Fatih Karagümrük S.K.. I also corrected links to clubs like Galatasaray which previously went to the sports club article catch all. These are how the wikipedia articles are titled. After that, I am simply piping the names which is common practice on Wikipedia, especially with football clubs. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And to my point, none of the links you shared above direct to actual articles, which is why I made the improvements. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:25, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I understood your approach. When I put [[Gaziantep FK], it actually goes to Gaziantep F.K. site as well, so my understanding was Wikipedia can recognize the naming conventions and can still open the right page. I hear you on your Galatasaray example. Thanks. Batrogenio (talk) 00:50, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
