- Hello, thanks for helping me to navigate this. I have many more reviews and sources to add which I hope will prevent this article from being deleted. My question is, what is considered to be a 'reliable source' for a book review? Goodreads? Amazon? Reddit? In the international world of Buddhism/mindfulness, there are many well known people, but don't necessarily get reviewed by Time magazine. Since the author publishes in both English & German, are German sources able to be included in the English wiki? Rockette721 (talk) 18:37, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, you might find it helpful to read Wikipedia: Reliable sources. Any language is fine, so long as the sources are reliable, secondary and independent. Wikishovel (talk) 19:31, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again, I updated and added the citations where needed, as well as updated sources from outside wikipedia. Please let me know what, if any, other edits need to be made to prevent the article from being deleted. Thanks! Rockette721 (talk) 19:32, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for adding the sources, but most of the ones that are secondary aren't reliable. For example, see WP:GOODREADS for why that's unreliable. The VA source is both reliable and WP:Secondary, but as it's her client organization writing about their program that she founded, it's not WP:Independent. Wikishovel (talk) 19:57, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- What about articles she has had published in medical journal publications? Are those considered to be reliable? Rockette721 (talk) 19:59, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Podcast appearances? Rockette721 (talk) 20:01, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- And also, with an author that has published 2 books and authored many articles and published medical papers, does every article need to be reviewed by someone else, or isn't the fact that two+ books are internationally published enough? Rockette721 (talk) 20:05, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Podcasts and interviews are WP:Primary sources. I've published a book internationally, but I'm definitely not notable: please see WP:NAUTHOR for more guidance on notability of authors. Wikishovel (talk) 20:07, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- ok thanks, I'm working on getting better secondary sources. Stay tuned! Rockette721 (talk) 20:13, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
