4: Pretty sure this is a nebelwerfer. More specifically, a Nebelwerfer 41. Carom 05:20, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
5: Looks like Soviet 122 mm gun D-74 ([1], [2], [3]). A related 152 mm D-20 is similar, but has visibly shorter barrel. Bukvoed 07:27, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

9: Also 21 cm Mörser 18. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.60.23.182 (talkcontribs)
Judging by the length of the barrel, more probably 17 cm K 18 MrsLaf ? Bukvoed 11:15, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure now it's 17 cm K 18 MrsLaf. Aside from the obvious difference in proportions of two sections of the barrel (compare 17 cm K 18 [5] [6] to 21 cm Mrs 18 [7] [8]) only photos of the 17 cm K 18 show this second pair of roller near the end of the thicker section. The only captioned as-21-cm barrel with two pairs of rollers I came across [9] also seems to have "wrong" proportions, so it's probably a misidentification. Bukvoed 18:52, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
10: 155 mm Long Tom -- Lewis Collard! (baby i'm bad news) 05:50, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
11: Looks like German 10.5 cm sK 18 ([10]). Similar to 15 cm sFH 18, but seems to have a longer barrel. Bukvoed 07:27, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
12: A wild guess - possibly an experimental US 75mm Light Divisional Gun ? Bukvoed 18:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

19: A barrel on a barrel cart. The barrel probably belongs to 21 cm Mörser 18 (which was dissembled for transportation) ([13], seems too short for 17 cm K MrsLaf. See also carriage at no 20. Bukvoed 11:15, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See no 9. Although the photo in my comment just above is apparently of 17 cm K 18 MrsLaf :), but the no. 19+20 has all signs of 21 cm Mrs 18. Only one pair of rollers, short "thinner" section of the barrel. Bukvoed 18:53, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
20: Carriage of 21 cm Mörser 18 or of 17 cm K Mrs Laf (which are supposed to be identical anyway). See also barrel at no 19. Bukvoed 11:15, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
21: 152 mm gun M1910/34 ? Or were some 152 mm howitzer-gun M1937 (ML-20) fitted with those spoked wheels too ? Bukvoed 07:27, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
After a better look - it's early 152 mm howitzer-gun M1937 (ML-20). Bukvoed 06:58, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
22: 152 mm howitzer M1938 (M-10). Bukvoed 07:27, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

29: 3.7 cm Flakzwilling 43 ([14]). Bukvoed 10:09, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
30: 8.8 cm Flak 36/37 It uses the 36/37 3-piece barrel, and the carriage common on the 36/37 that has dual tires front and rear. (not the 18 as the 18 was set up to use single tires in front with streamlined fenders, duals in rear, sontag 201 I think it was called, and used a manual crank to raise and lower the gun from the limber. Cant see the indicator controls on the gunners right which would tell if it is a 36 or 37 model. WonderWheeler (talk) 07:10, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
31: Looks like some sort of AA gun (long barrel for calibre implies AA/AT, too high to be anti-tank)82.25.251.131 06:30, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say - some sort of US-made AA gun, possibly somehow related to the 120 mm M1. Bukvoed 18:59, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
32: Looks like 37 mm automatic air defense gun M1939 (61-K). Bukvoed 08:09, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure now. Bukvoed 06:58, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

42: 8.8 cm Flak 37. Some elaboration: The Flak 37 as shown in picture 42c which shows the dial indicators, used for indirect fire against aircraft, although their glass covering is missing. It has a Flak 18 barrel interestingly, which can be spotted as it does not have the barrel nut near the center. Sometimes this earlier model barrel was used apparently, or it might have been substituted from spare parts after the war. This Flak 37 is missing some tires as the carriage, sontag 202 I think it is called, is supposed to have dual tires front and back. Notice the extra width of the fenders for dual tires. Notice also that the spools for the data transmission cable are also missing on the rear carriage by the way. On the 36/37 guns the sets of wheels could be used either in front or behind the gun, interchangeably. The cruixiform base of the 36/37 series can be identified by the square pads on the side legs, and the three sided opening for the stakes, being at the extreme ends of those legs. By the way, the flak 18 series had round pads on the side legs, and the pads were at the ends of those legs. WonderWheeler (talk) 07:54, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
43: 85 mm air defense gun M1939 (52-K). Bukvoed 08:09, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
44: 8.8 cm Kw FlaK 1916. Bukvoed 18:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. And Gun 1 here [15] is 105mm Gun T8. Bukvoed 08:20, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commentary

[edit]

Pictures 35, 40, and 43 are identified as being the same gun. The barrels are very similar, but the carriages are totally different. Raul654 02:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, number 35 lacks shield (early 52-K were produced without one); lacks those forward-directed sticks (don't know what they are for...) but you can see that holders for those sticks are there; it also has different tires - the tires it is fitted with are apparently not authentic, they don't look Soviet.
Aside from that, no 35 seems identical to no 40.
No 43 clearly has different suspension, but photos of the 52-K here [16] show both types. So far, I have no explanation for this difference. Bukvoed 18:03, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've finished my second batch of uploading. The only ones I haven't uploaded are the ones that have not been identified, or the identification is still iffy - 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 19, 21, 24, 25, 31. The next job is to start integrating these pictures into articles. Raul654 16:44, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there's really any doubt that #4 is a Nebelwerfer 41. Carom 23:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. And #21 is definitely ML-20. Bukvoed 07:46, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've uploaded and added those two to the gallery here. Also, I need a relevant article for the "Finnish model k39 antitank gun initial production". Raul654 22:20, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As for the k39 - we have an article about the Italian clone of Böhler - Cannone da 47/32 M35. May be we should rename it to something like Böhler 47 mm gun ( like Bofors 40 mm gun etc. ) and add information about other operators/designations/variants. Bukvoed 07:06, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
