Speedy deletion nomination of Neutronized
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Neutronized requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Stubs
[edit]greetings Random-storykeeper,
thanks for the question.
you ask "how come stubs can't be created for others to help contribute to?" they can be, its just that even if its just a stub it must have some evidence of notability as defined here, preferably backed up by reliable sources, which are defined here. hope that helps. cheers -- The Elves Of Dunsimore (talk) 06:05, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
RE: Stubs (a curious user asking questions)
[edit]greetings Random-storykeeper,
good questions :)
the issue is one of notability to take your examples one by one :-
nitrome - that would have been considered notable enough because it says its a company that has released many games. its notable because the company almost certainly has coverage in reliable sources
storm hawks and team galaxy - are tv series on a major network, so almost certainly have coverage in reliable sources and so again enough to avoid speedy deletion
neutronized - its a website with some games, when i did a google search i didnt find any coverage in reliable sources so i tagged it for deletion.
ok so whats a reliable source? well, to take an extreme example, lets say the new york times published an article about how awesome the games are on that site, then that would count.
make sense? -- The Elves Of Dunsimore (talk) 06:42, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Re:All right
[edit]greetings Random-storykeeper,
- "Since Neutronized is a relatively new website, there is not much to say about it, so it would have to wait a little longer until the page can be created again."
exactly! :)
- "So reviews (like ones on JayisGames) and website articles on some of their games would not count? "
well Jay is Games has its own wikipedia page so they're proabably good enough to be sited as a reliable source for an article on the game that they review.
