Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Ben Mercer ‎, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Do not remove the notability tag without addressing the lack of independent references which led to its being placed. Edison (talk) 20:42, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Ben Mercer, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ben Mercer. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Edison (talk) 20:49, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Mercer relisted at AfD

[edit]

Hello. I've relisted the article for AfD here in accordance with the WP:RPDA policy for recreation of deleted pages. Please feel free to participate in the discussion as to why the article should be kept and how it can be improved. Cheers, Doonhamer (talk) 18:58, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ben Mercer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I have now made it impossible for you to recreate this article under both the correct capitalization pattern and the incorrect variant you adopted, and will continue to do so under any spelling you care to try. The reason is that you continue to recreate this article even though it has now failed an articles for deletion process twice; our policies don't permit this sort of activity and it's considered to be vandalism. Your only option at this point is to take whatever case you feel you have to make for the creation of this article to deletion review. You will find complete instructions for how to do that at the link in the previous sentence, should you choose to proceed in that way. Good luck with your path, whatever you decide. The account you created has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information). We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior is not tolerated. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
