[edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 02:39, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user is asking to be unblocked to request a change in username.

Requested username:

Request reason:
I was writing an entry for Pulselocker so I thought it would be appropriate to use "Pulselocker" as the username. The newly proposed username does not provide any traits that identify it as a promotional username.

Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please replace this template with the following:

{{unblock-un on hold | 1=blocking administrator | 2=Jetset1415 | 3=I was writing an entry for Pulselocker so I thought it would be appropriate to use "Pulselocker" as the username. The newly proposed username does not provide any traits that identify it as a promotional username. | 4=~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following:

{{unblock-un reviewed | 1=Jetset1415 | reason=I was writing an entry for Pulselocker so I thought it would be appropriate to use "Pulselocker" as the username. The newly proposed username does not provide any traits that identify it as a promotional username. | accept=Allowing username change to requested username. Please select an option from [[Wikipedia:Changing username]] and file a request as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}} with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after "decline=", a default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.

{{unblock-un reviewed | 1=Jetset1415 | reason=I was writing an entry for Pulselocker so I thought it would be appropriate to use "Pulselocker" as the username. The newly proposed username does not provide any traits that identify it as a promotional username. | decline={{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

What is your connection to Pulselocker(or its current owner)? 331dot (talk) 08:25, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It no longer exists as it was acquired by Beatport (see draft for further details). I was on the original team and wish for its history to be properly documented. Pulselocker (talk) 08:29, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a place to merely document something; Wikipedia articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the topic, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability- such as a notable company. The draft only summarized the routine business activities of the company(its launch, its offerings, and its acquisition). You wrote that it "paved the way", but you don't have a citation as to who makes that claim or why. If you don't have such sources, it's not likely Pulselocker merits an article at this time. If you just want to document the existence of Pulselocker, you might try an alternative forum with less stringent requirements.
You have a conflict of interest and you will need to review that policy. Writing a new article is the most difficult task to attempt on Wikipedia, and it's even harder with a conflict of interest. My advice would be to first gain experience and knowledge as to how things work here by editing existing articles in areas that interest you, before attempting the difficult task of writing a new article. Are there other topics or existing articles that you might edit about instead? 331dot (talk) 08:36, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
