A tag has been placed on Public Relations Students' Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi there. The reason this was deleted is that it didn't explain why the association is important in any way. For an article to survive on wikipedia, you will need to include reliable sources that discuss the subject in detail. Usually, student associations like this don't have articles because they're not covered in reliable sources like newspapers. --Mkativerata (talk) 21:45, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Thanks for the reply. We have been published in two sources, the University newspaper and the department's ComACTION. I am also working on getting a story published in Ottawa PR blog, and in a downtown community newspaper. Would that be enough for me to repost it? Hi Prvicha. If you can recreate the article using those sources, it won't be speedily deleted. However, it is quite possible that it would be nominated for deletion here. If it is nominated for deletion, the question will be "is the association notable"? Notability generally requires that the association has received significant coverage in reliable sources. I'm not sure whether the sources you've mentions meet this test because I'm unfamiliar with the subject matter. But the more sources you have, and the more reliable the sources are, the better the chance the article will have. --Mkativerata (talk) 03:06, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
