Reliable sources

[edit]

Hi. I've reverted your additions to Hera, Achilles and Dias (mythology), as they are not supported by reliable sources. Please read up on Wikipedia policies and best practice. WP:Reliable sources must be used to support all article content. Wikipedia articles are not considered to be reliable sources, because anything in Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, more or less. Please ensure that anything you add to Wikipedia is supported by a reliable source. Haploidavey (talk) 15:39, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Promracingteam/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 19:40, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your username is only one small part of the problem here. You haven't addressed your violations of WP:COI and WP:PROMO and haven't told us what you plan to write about instead. Yamla (talk) 21:05, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am a student trying to create an article for a Racing team from Athens. I want to be unblocked to try to create a new article from a more neutral point of view. I Also want to revise my references and links. This is my first article so it is very difficult

Decline reason:

COI issues remain unaddressed, request does not suggest that the editor is here to build an encyclopedia signed, Rosguill talk 23:03, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Not every topic that exists merits an article on Wikipedia. A topic must be considered notable by Wikipedia's definition to be considered worthy of inclusion. For this to happen, the topic must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable sources that are independent of the topic itself. We have no interest in what an organization wishes to say about itself.

Please review Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide, as this pertains to your intended editing here. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:37, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This topic I chose is a Formula student team from Athens, which is 15th worldwide among 203 teams. So it is notable and worth uploading in wikipedia. Promracingteam (talk) 22:52, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
See Verifiability, not truth. Notability is not based on whether someone believes a subject to be notable. Notability is established by showing evidence of extensive coverage in reliable third-party sources. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 00:27, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, there are plenty of evidences in reliable third-party sources. This is why I want to be unblocked to try to add them in the article. Promracingteam (talk) 06:32, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
