Hi, and thank you! :) It did not ask me for an edit summary when I removed the text from the Talk page. I attempted to remove it because the content on the Talk page has nothing to do with the page in question -- appears irrelevant as far as I can tell? I will try again and post here. Thanks again. Priyanka2330 (talk) 23:23, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Drmies Tried again, and did provide an edit summary this time. Please take a look if you will. Feel free to revert if you think the discussion is relevant somehow to a disambiguation page -- I didn't think it was. Priyanka2330 (talk) 23:30, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it was a disambiguation page at the time. It seems like there have been some page moves. The content isn't all that relevant now, but there was a valid reason for that comment, I am sure, as you can gauge by the response. Drmies (talk) 23:36, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possible vandalism/self-promotion

[edit]

Hi User:Drmies, I hope you're well. :) Requesting your help in reviewing User:Abdullahaljabedmiskat who appears to either be vandalizing pages and/or is engaging in self-promotion -- I can't be sure. From what I can understand, he seems to adding himself to various movie/TV show/song credits across Wikipedia when there's no evidence to support his claims. At any rate, even if his claims are legit, it would violate Wikipedia:COISELF. Thank you for your help and attention. Take care. Priyanka2330 (talk) 01:36, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

BLP issue

[edit]

hi @Courcelles, hi @Bishonen! Hope you're both doing well. Wanted to draw your attention to the most recent IP edit made to Ali Sethi. A rather extensive "Marriage and Controversy" sub-section was added to the Personal Life section that, to me, raised multiple Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons issues. The claim made by the editor regarding the subject's wedding is unconfirmed and highly questionable. The primary claim in the lead sentence regarding the wedding is completely unsourced, and supplemental references later in the section are unreliable/poor quality and, IMO, don't meet Wikipedia:Verifiability standards. The edit disregards the subject's privacy and there is a LOT of unnecessary POV commentary about LGBTQ rights throughout the section that's not appropriate even if the claim itself was verifiable.

I'm requesting a revert of the entire sub-section if either/both of you agree. If I was supposed to add the BLP noticeboard template here, please let me know. Thank you so much for your time. :) Priyanka2330 (talk) 00:35, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That reads like it was copied from… somewhere. I can’t find it exactly, though. Courcelles (talk) 00:44, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I tried too and couldn't find it either. Thank you for your quick review and the revert. :) Priyanka2330 (talk) 01:06, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hi @Bishonen! sincere thanks for adding the protection template to the article. I was just about to request it here and I saw that you already did it. Also thank you for reverting all the vandalism. Priyanka2330 (talk) 17:43, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hi @Courcelles, hi @Bishonen. It looks like the page Ali Sethi needs a protection template again due to repeated vandalism over the last few days. Almost the entire article was just wiped (85,000 bytes!). Could you please add the template so only extended confirmed users are able to edit the page, and also please restore the page to when it was edited at "18:25, 13 February 2024" by‎ PrimeBOT. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much. Priyanka2330 (talk) 18:07, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Protected under NEWBLPBAN. I’ll put it in the AE log when I can be on a real device and not my phone. Courcelles (talk) 18:09, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thank you! but i think i messed up! i just got myself to a computer to revert the article to the version i mentioned above and it worked. unfortunately, restoring it to a previous version also got rid of the protection template, so the template would need to be added again. i am so sorry for making extra work for you, and again, i really appreciate your help. :) Priyanka2330 (talk) 19:38, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I never worry about the templates, if Twinkle doesn’t add one, I know a bot will come behind me and do it. All sorted now. Courcelles (talk) 19:57, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
that's good to know. thank you again and have a great weekend :) Priyanka2330 (talk) 21:00, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
