American history task force

[edit]

User:Davidlwilliamson has expressed an interest in helping WP:HAWAII sort history articles. I've asked him to contact you about the American history task force. I would be happy to add a ushistory=yes to American history articles related to Hawaii as we would like to encourage more collaboration with the history project. —Viriditas | Talk 12:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article importance tag

[edit]

John Carter and Phoenix-wiki, I'd like to ask you both about the utility of the "article importance" rating that I recently commented out of the Wikiproject Robotics template. My instinct is that the very last thing I need to hear is "Dan says my article is more important than yours". Did this fill any essential function in any previous Wikiproject? Is there some mistake we're likely to make because we misjudge the importance of Roomba or Robot? - Dan Dank55 (talk) 00:06, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Phoenix, this is just a heads-up that the argument continues among John Carter, JamesonTai and myself on my talk page...maybe it won't last long, maybe it will move to WP:ROBO/AEL. - Dan Dank55 (talk) 14:41, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You might want to move the navigation banner up a bit on your userpage so it isn't covered by the image. In fact, I'll be bold and do it for you. (I seem to have developed a habit of nitpicking on your user page. :p) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 01:27, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help Wiki

[edit]

Hi, I'm not sure if you know this already but Help Wiki was shutdown and at my request AGK has given me the xml data for all the pages so we don't loose our hard work. At the moment I'm still thinking over what to do with the content but I think incorporating it back into Wikipedia is the way to go. Unfortunately I don't think the CC license used is compatible with the GNUFDL(its the no commercial restriction in the CC license that is the problem). Anyway if I am going to incorporate that pages back into Wikipedia I'll need you to release your work under the GNUFDL, just something like "I agree to release my work under the GNUFDL" will be fine. If you have any other suggestions or comments feel free to tell me them. --Chris 09:18, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nousernamesleft

[edit]

Hi, Phoenix-wiki, thanks for voting in my RfA, which passed with 47 supports (I hoped for a perfect square, but two away is close enough!), 3 opposes (the first odd prime), and 0 neutrals. I'm glad the community has decided to trust me with the mop and bucket (the flamethrower isn't supported). Of course, special thanks goes to my nominators Auawise and that one guy who buried stuff (not that the thanks I give to the you isn't special!). If you ever need a hand with something, or just want to say hello, tough feel free to drop a line! Best wishes, Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 23:01, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This doesn't even vaguely resemble a mop, but I couldn't find a picture of one.

Fear my red pen - or keyboard! ;) I'm sorry that you're leaving until summer. Hope to see you back soon! 23:20, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Don't be sorry, there's nothing to be sorry about, Ijust have otehr interests at the moment and "can't be bothered" to edit here much. I never se myself leaving completely, no matter how inactive I go :-)--Phoenix-wiki 18:36, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Battery_chicken.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Battery_chicken.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:35, 22 February 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 03:35, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
