License tagging for File:Hollywood Undead (New Masks2011).jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hollywood Undead (New Masks2011).jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Get scaredx.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:Get scareddd.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Get scareddd.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Orphaned non-free image File:Get scareddd.jpeg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Get scareddd.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 07:45, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would have appreciated if you would've posted whatever problems on the Deuce discography and List of Deuce songs articles on their talk pages before you jumped to a conclusion you thought was apropriate for the given situation ie. redirecting both pages to Deuce (singer) I have put alot of effort into his articles and I want them to grow, so if you could please adress problems on the appropriate talk pages beforehand that would be nice. Wrong person?

I think you left this warning for at the wrong person's talk page. I would suggest retracting it. Best, Jenks24 (talk) 00:29, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't. He vandalized the article for Hollywood Undead's album Swan Songs. He made several vandalizing changes, such as he changed "studio album by Hollywood Undead" to "studio album by Deuce", he ruined the "track listing" section, and he replaced "Rock Sound" with "Gay Sound". Changes like these are obviously due to his interest in the band's rival, Deuce, which is not surprising. Look at his edit (left) and my edit (right, which fixed it): http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Swan_Songs_%28Hollywood_Undead_album%29&action=historysubmit&diff=471765814&oldid=471439218 The Catalyst (talk) 00:42, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Hi Panic Reaper, I have fixed the cut and paste move on the article, and the article is now edit protected too. This is not a good thing, so I will be lifting protection later. This kind of edit warring and move warring is very disruptive. If anyone goes on edit warring over the article title before the album is (pre-)released, I will be blocking whoever does so. If you would like to have the article moved, please discuss it on the talkpage, and if there is consensus, make use of requested moves if there is consensus the article should be moved. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Deuce NineLives-Cover.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 23:35, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

LMFAO you're the same guy who had me blocked for calling you a troll since you took that as a "personal attack" hahaha. I guess I should expect no less from the likes of you. One: you were not blocked for your personal attack months ago, you were actually more of blocked for edit warring in the same case of which you were blocked for this case. And two; no I don't have any personal grudge against you, in fact I don't even know you. I mean keep in pure mind that I actually gave you a warning in mind that if you're gonna keep this up, you're gonna get blocked but ignored each warning each time and thus you were blocked both times as a result. That isn't my problem; I tried to help you before it had to come to that, but you wouldn't listen. • GunMetal Angel 22:53, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Panic Reaper (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

All I asked for the guy who requested to have me blocked is that he discuss the edit with me on the Talk page before editing. He is just holding a personal grudge for the one time I simply called him a "troll" several months ago.

Decline reason:

I don't understand how this is relevant to the reason for your block, which is edit warring. I looked at Talk:Escape the Fate, and I couldn't find the discussion that you had there about the changes the two of you disagreed about. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:31, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Panic Reaper (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

That's the point. Before he removed certain content from the page, I simply asked that he discuss it with me on the Talk page first, which he refused to do so and just continued reverting my edits. The page should've been left where it was before he started editing it until we came to an agreement, which he wouldn't let happen. It's completely unfair to block me for this when I was trying to discuss it with him. He should've been blocked.

Decline reason:

This does not address the reason for the block. Please note: (1) Do not edit war even if you think you are right; (2) See the comments below; (3) Read the guide to appealing blocks, particularly the section WP:NOTTHEM. JamesBWatson (talk) 15:15, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You of course know that's the opposite of how things work? You of course have also read the guidelines for "Associate acts" as presented to you (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 14:01, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There are a bunch of other pages like the one he kept trying to edit, and he's edited them before. Why doesn't he "fix" those? Panic Reaper (talk) 14:20, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm still not getting it. The way it works is, if there's a disagreement, you discuss it on the talk page, reach a consensus, and then the stable version that's agreed on is in the article. But you don't seem to have participated in any discussion on the talk page, and you do seem to have reverted to your preferred version when there wasn't a clear consensus on the talk page. If you were 'trying to discuss it with him,' I'd see a section on the talk page in which you explain why you think your preferred version is the one that best fits Wikipedia's guidelines, but I can't find that. I don't know much about Wikipedia's guidelines for 'associated acts,' but I do know that repeatedly reverting edits without a clear consensus on the talk page is pointless. The other person can revert just as easily as you can; nothing is accomplished but disruption. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:43, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Then why isn't he blocked as well? He didn't try to find an agreement or start a section in the talk page. The page was like it was for probably a year. I simply asked him to discuss why he was editing it in the Talk page and he refused to do so. What's so complicated about that? He was edit warring as well.Panic Reaper (talk) 15:34, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You were Bold, he reverted, you then discuss ... NOT revert, revert, revert - as per WP:BRD. There's also very little to discuss, considering your edits were wholly against the guidelines on "associated acts". You'll also need to read WP:EBUR in addition to WP:NOTTHEM (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 16:48, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I asked him to discuss why he wants to change it on the Talk page but he just kept reverting my edits. He's the one who wanted to change it, he should be the one starting a discussion. Plus, he edits loads of other pages with the same issues he's complaining about but he doesn't "fix" them. Panic Reaper (talk) 01:53, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And not to mention, at least I came to your talk page to discuss things over the first time you reverted me, and I gave you a clear up & steady direction of the guideline of how to use that field and you ignored it like a big "fuck this, I'm doing it my way and I'll report you if you don't like it." • GunMetal Angel 22:35, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What? You never came to my Talk page. Oh wait, are you referring to the thing on the Get Scared page months ago? I was simply annoyed because you kept calling adding sourced speculation to the page "disruptions". Not rumors, but speculation. But you never came to my page to discuss the issue on the Escape the Fate page. There are other pages with the same issue that I see you edit, why don't you fix them? Plus, the associated acts you removed are heavily related. All of those bands are bands that a member was a part of and the band toured with several times. You removed The Word Alive, but not blessthefall or Falling in Reverse? I at least think it's totally unfair that I don't get a notice that I'm being reported. I never reverted your edits on that page, I just re-added the information just like twice and I was randomly blocked. There are other people on the page who didn't agree with you about removing the acts, and since it's multiple people vs you, it should've been you who started the discussion. Panic Reaper (talk) 01:53, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm...does "touring with" meet the definition of "associated acts", as per the Wikipedia definition? (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:51, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, scroll up two sections. I left you that message the day before you were given this block. It was not "months ago", however the one I gave you months ago should have made it clear that what you were doing wasn't right. • GunMetal Angel 22:51, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Thedeadrabbitts.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Thedeadrabbitts.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:08, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Dead Rabbitts, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Supergroup (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello. I see you created this article recently. Are there any sources for it that aren't twitter, facebook, or other self-published sources? If you're not aware, there's a set of general notability criteria for musical groups at WP:BAND - can they be demonstrated to meet any of those? Thanks, Morwen - Talk 11:53, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The same goes for Edge of Reality (The Dead Rabbitts EP). I see you created that article with unreferenced and notability tags! Please don't do that. Orphaned non-free media (File:Cheaptricksandtheatrics.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cheaptricksandtheatrics.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
