Newsome Panthers

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed that you are a major contributor to the article Newsome Panthers. Thank you for your hard work! This article needs some inline citations to prove that it's factually correct. If you have the time and inclination, it would be very helpful for you to put some in. The club's official website seems like a very good place to start. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for details on how to get started. All the best. GypsyJiver (drop me a line) 10:36, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tab (slang)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tab (slang), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kolindigo 20:19, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Storthes Hall FC

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself, as you did with Storthes Hall FC. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. --Finngall talk 23:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:NewsomeMagpies.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:NewsomeMagpies.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Oxford109! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 337 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

The article Simon George has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable rugby league player who never played at a professional level.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
