We've had enough

[edit]
(Track 13, disc 4, The Ultimate Collection)

Michael Jackson fans buy this song on iTunes [THIS SONG ONLY NOT THE FULL ALBUM] on June 25 ,2010 so it gets to #1 on the billboards. It is one of his most powerful songs and easily deserves the moment. OttomanJackson (talk)

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Tarc (talk) 04:12, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Fly Away (Michael Jackson song), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fly Away (Michael Jackson song). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 06:29, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:$500lincolngold.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 02:18, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AN Discussion

[edit]

Hello, Ottoman Jackson! I see the question has been posed to you before[1], but I'm afraid this answer is less than satisfactory. Are you and 24.15.54.202 the same user, or not? I appreciate your time in this matter, and a response would be appreciated before I consider filing a SPI report. Cheers :> Doc9871 (talk) 01:55, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/OttomanJackson for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Doc9871 (talk) 02:36, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Series1996$100usnote.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Currency

[edit]

Hi, re your image of a US 1000 dollar bill . I've just deleted it just in case you weren't in a position to give consent for us to use this. However it would be easy for us to get this back - just put an image up on the Federal reserve website saying that the thousand dollar bill is now in the public domain, and I'll restore that image for you. Currency images {{Non-free currency}} vs.{{money-US}}

[edit]

I notice you have uploaded a several currency images (such as File:500lrgsize.jpg and File:500lgszeback.jpg). Some of which have been deleted above. I would guess you upload them using {{Non-free currency}} like File:500lrgsize.jpg). I think this images are really nice and hate to see them deleted, so I wanted to ask you if you had a reason for not using {{money-US}} for those images. If this is an image of paper currency or a coin not listed here, it is solely a work of the United States government, is ineligible for copyright, and is therefore in the public domain. File:One US dollar 1917.jpg is almost the same year as File:500lrgsize.jpg and that is how it's tagged. I wonder if the images above were incorrectly deleted and File:500lrgsize.jpg is actually public domain.

However, I'm no expert on this subject, so you may know something I don't. I would love to have you tell me, so if I run into something like this again, I know the rules.--ARTEST4ECHO talk 18:00, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Ramkamheng Of Siam Civ5.PNG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ramkamheng Of Siam Civ5.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Wenttomowameadow (talk) 22:17, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss the image here and refute the points I've made instead of undoing my changes and removing the tag from the image. Wenttomowameadow (talk) 22:34, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It greatly helps to illustrate the improved leader graphics, plus can not compromise the game any more than any other screenshot. OttomanJackson User:OttomanJackson 22:07, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
I think it would be better if you contributed content like that to a fan site or something. We don't need the picture to demonstrate anything that can't be explained. I don't think there are any high-res screenshots like that anyway, and if so I imagine they would be removed also. Wenttomowameadow (talk) 23:47, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Ramkamheng Of Siam Civ5.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. I disagree. It's excessive and unnecessary details about the gameplay. The prose paragraph describing the city-states is more than adequate to cover the topic. If you'd like to poll more people on this, I suggest you start a thread on the Talk Page of the article and solicit opinions to form a WP:CONSENSUS. Also, please sign your posts with 4 ~'s. License tagging for File:Hannibal Beatup.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hannibal Beatup.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:08, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Music in Civilization III has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable without substantial coverage in independent reliable sources. None provided, none found.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SummerPhD (talk) 03:47, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Brunswick (German city), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page German (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I am gladf to find that "Leghorn" was not due to vandalism. However, it is best to use the instructions at WP:RM, rather than copying from elsewhere; likewise WP:AFD; WP:CFD. This should ensure that you get it right quickly. Attempts to do it manually are apt to go wrong. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:50, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that when you changed the IPA pronounciation guide at Māori people, you changed it to a pronounciation which is not only incorrect, but also considered offensive in New Zealand English. Request reason:

I have taken a 5.5 month break from wiki. I would like to be unblocked. I will not use sockpuppets, and I will gather evidence and store it on a userpage before making Anglicization page move requests. OttomanJackson (talk) 12:58 am, 2 February 2013, last Saturday (4 days ago) (UTC+0)

Decline reason:

Per the message from a checkuser regarding User:CatTazer69, below, you clearly haven't taken a five and a half month break. Due to continued sockpuppetry, the clock has been reset; if you want to make an appeal under the standard offer, you will need to file a new unblock request in August - and refrain from using sockpuppets during the intervening period.
