LDS articles

[edit]

Your edits to Temple garment and Endowment (Latter Day Saints) have been noticed and reverted. Please remember that we do not edit Wikipedia to conform to any religious group's standards. If you continue to delete material without secular justification, your edits will be treated as vandalism, and will get your account blocked from editing Wikipedia.Kww (talk) 19:17, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reasoning

[edit]

I never said your edits were dishonest, and hope that you realise that. Let's take an example: on Temple garment, you deleted the images, and all descriptions of the symbols on the garments. I understand that those topics are sacred to the LDS, but to the rest of the world, they are just information. What secular reason is there to remove that information? If you wanted to convince a Hindu that information should be deleted, what argument would you use?Kww (talk) 19:38, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I, at least, am not mocking you. I'm sorry that you face it in your day to day life. However, where would we draw the line? No pictures of women, because they are offensive to some Muslims? No pictures at all, because there are some that say it steals the soul of the person whose picture has been taken? I can't claim to understand the life of an LDS member. What I can tell you is that we have other LDS editors. If you would like to talk with one, click here, and that will take to you Storm Rider's talk page. He has come to terms with how the LDS are treated here, and is always willing to talk with new LDS editors.Kww (talk) 20:14, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:29, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Editing the first few times can be a bit daunting; particularly on pages that are controversial like religion and politics. You might want to review some of the polices mentioned above and then let's talk again. I would pay particular attention to NPOV an and other articles under polices and guidelines above. We wall start out needing to learn and it really does not take but a few minutes to understand the gist of things. Before you know it you will be productively editing and having an impact on articles of interest to you. Let me know of other questions. Cheers. --Storm Rider (talk) 21:42, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
