Taxobox maintenance

Thanks a ton! You've really helped out with a huge task, and the Tree of Life WikiProject thanks you for it! Bob the WikipediaN (talkcontribs) 22:19, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Oops, sorry about that.

Just saw the comment at the BRFA. Sorry, about that. I didn't realize competing bots was a bad thing. While, I'm here, I just want to say thanks again. I've done a little software work long ago, and so I know what's involved. I'm surprised at how fast you've got you bot running. You are good. Thanks again. - Hydroxonium (TCV) 22:40, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Oops again. I'm 2 for 2. Sorry about that, Noom. The comments at your BRFA were only comments and not an actual request. I have removed them. Sorry again. - Hydroxonium (TCV) 21:15, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Editors eligible for Autopatrol privilege

Hi. I'm curious, what were your bot's edits to Wikipedia:Database reports/Editors eligible for Autopatrol privilege meant to do? Also, while you undid your changes so everything is alright, I would prefer it if you made similar edits in your userspace or some other page, not one that is generated by my bot. One of the reasons for this is that my bot would overwrite any changes yours made and I don't think overwriting each others edits is a good idea. If you have any suggestions regarding the reports or modifications to the code, they're always welcome. User<Svick>.Talk(); 18:35, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Ah, I didn't know about the bot request thread or your BRFA. If you haven't already finished your code, I would suggest some better way of communication between the two bots and/or moving some of the processing to my bot. But since your code is finished, that point in moot now. User<Svick>.Talk(); 18:47, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Not sure what language your bot is coded in, but feel free to implement the whole of my bots code (which is in PHP). As per the BRfA, I have little free time to finish it. I apologize for overwriting your bots report, wasn't sure if it'd be alright or not. What did you have in mind for changing? Noom talk stalk 20:07, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Like I said, there's not much reason to change anything now, but I think wikitables are not the best format for exchanging information between programs. User<Svick>.Talk(); 21:35, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
It's not too bad. At the moment I'm grabbing the autopatrol list with regexes, but if you have a better idea, that'd be great. Noom talk stalk 21:40, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
