Username issue
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "LiveView Technologies", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to be a technology company in Lindon, Utah. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. [edit]You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.- To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
- If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here:
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Request reason:
I disclosed that I was being paid to edit and write. I tried to write my company's page but for information purposes only. Not for advertising or promotion. That draft was deleted and I am working with the admin to get edits. I have done nothing else to warrant being blocked for advertising. Can you please review this block?Noelle at LiveView Technologies (LVT) (talk) 20:19, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Your deleted draft was unambiguously promotional. Yamla (talk) 20:24, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Okay the draft wasn't good, but why should that cause me to be blocked? Can't I have the opportunity to fix the draft? Noelle at LiveView Technologies (LVT) (talk) 21:19, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
No, at least not now, because you have demonstrated a lack of understanding of our policies and seem to only be here to promote your company. You will need to build up an edit history by editing in other areas to demonstrate your knowledge of relevant policies. Please tell what topics unrelated to your conflict of interest you will edit about. If you are not interested in editing about other topics, this is the end of the road. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 22:03, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

[edit]I'll leave the question of if or when you are unblocked to others, but since you asked what was wrong with your draft, here goes
Your obvious conflict of interest, although you have declared it, makes it difficult to write appropriately. Please read the following regarding writing an article.
- you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
- You didn't reference all your text, and the references you did give were press releases, interviews, and in one case an article written by a company manager, not independent third-party sources.
- The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
- significant coverage in
- independent,
- multiple,
- reliable,
- secondary sources.
- Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.
- You tell us a lot about what it sells, but not much about the company, such as how many employees. You give percentages for growth, but not actual figures $100 to $133 is 133% growth, as is $100 million to $133 million
- you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- Obvious prom includes Just the physical presence and visibility of LVT’s on-site security towers outside retail locations have helped many customers reduce theft by over 65%, and theft-related shrink costs by more than 85%... ushered in a new era of remote management, expanding the capabilities of the company’s mobile units and vastly increasing reliability.
- there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:05, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
