Disney animated features

[edit]

I see you are using the preceded_by and followed_by fields in the film infobox to link Disney animated features together. Those fields should only be used for direct sequels (for example, Bambi and Bambi II). —tregoweth (talk) 12:35, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:AdultKiara.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AdultKiara.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:04, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tags - please read!

[edit]

Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! I've just added the correct image tag to one of your images, but both of these still need a fair use rationale. You simply need to say why you feel that the image is needed and necessary (for example, to identify the character in question) Please add a fair use rationale to both! In addition, please read through the copyright tags and information for images. Some images are hard to tag, but others are really easy. Movie screenshots, like what you added, are just {{Film-screenshot}}. If you need any help with images (or whatever!) feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Happy editing! Verloren Hoop 03:53, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job on finding all of those other pictures! I was going to search around wikipedia after I put up the others in the two galleries, but I don't know enough about liscencing and fair use and what is allowed (etc.), and I was in the middle of doing other work as well, so I was hoping someone else who knew where to find the best pictures would be able to fill them in gradually. However, I didn't expect someone to do it in the same day, and for pretty much EVERY other princess that was missing! Even the three princesses from Mulan II! Great job! That's all I wanted to say. And thanks! Keep up the good work! :) IrishPearl 22:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Shaq's Big Challenge, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Brianga 03:49, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unreferenced controversial information to Wikipedia articles on living persons, as you did to Shaq's Big Challenge. Thank you. Brianga 03:51, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Shaq's Big Challenge. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Jddphd 03:54, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, you're the one vandalizing the article. I'm the one who provided the information on the page prior to it getting vandalized, complete with citations. YOU'RE the one who keeps putting the incorrect information back in. Stop it.

NOW you're recent edit is useful, using the sources. Thank you. -Hasek is the best 03:58, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The sources were already cited. You people kept deleting them and putting incorrect, un-cited information back in.

I think that might be because we overlooked them. Sorry for the confusion. However, looking at this edit you made - [1] this was a weight change, no sources.[2] shows nobody removed these refrences, going forward until the current revision. Brianga reverted edits with no sources, but when you put the sources on them, he didn't revert them. --Hasek is the best 18:16, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

This is a warning for you to stop your edits to Disney Princess, and to stop personally attacking other editors calling their edits vandalism, as you did here[3]. Any thoughts about changing an article you must talk about in the talk page, but I hope you do so constructively and with good faith. For any other testing you wish to do please use the sandbox. Thank you.--Sugarcubez 03:00, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HAHAHAHAHAHA oh wow, who are you to be warning me, and to tell me what not to edit? And you're the one calling MY edits vandalism, you lying hypocrite. Give me a break. Nemeses9 03:15, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I called one of your edits vandalism because you were removing information that seemed valid put by other editors (not me). But, a mix up with Auora and Giselle, I was mistaken, you edits were not vandalism. But you keep removing Princess Tiana to link to something that is non-existant (The Frog Princess (film)#Characters) which I do not understand. This warning is not a vandalism warning but a cool it warning, seeming that you are confused, I am on your said with Atansia, she should not be included, but changing a link to a redirect or nonexistent is just saying please read the edits before change. As well calling other editors edits vandalism without proof or seemingly proof is personally attack and calling other edits a lying hypocrite is also seen to be an attack. So please take [User:Chaser|Chaser]] advice and read the links I gave you for future editing purposes!--Sugarcubez 03:41, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you both read Wikipedia:Vandalism#What_vandalism_is_not.--Chaser - T 03:29, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Chaser: I know what vandalism is, so don't say *you both*.--Sugarcubez 03:41, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
O RLY? [4]--Chaser - T 03:49, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes RLY, if you read the definition of vandalism, Chaser under my impression (although wrong) Nemeses9 did clearly vandalize the article. (Because she kept removing seemingly factual and proven information put by other editors (NOT ME), and it was deliberate, and you can't take that out of an article just because of WP:IDONTLIKEIT. But again I WAS WRONG and got two Princess mixed up with one of the other, and that diff you linked to just proves my statement) So Chaser, please take a step like I did and admit you were wrong.--Sugarcubez 03:53, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I should also say to Nemeses9, I am sorry I wrongfully called your edit vandalism [5], when it clearly was not, due to my mistake for Aoura and Giselle. Keep in mind this was a cool it warning not to let things get out of hand, not a vandalism warning. I am agreeing with you to some extent. But you see can see how I thought your edit was vandalism. I am not sure how you thought mine was?--Sugarcubez 04:29, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job you did on adding the pic and infobox, looks great man. Also, thanks for the info about viewing the film on Logo's website, I'm gonna do that.  :-) --Textorus 08:25, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ifyoucandreamlogo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ifyoucandreamlogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SilentAria talk 08:28, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Snowwhite1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Snowwhite1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. SilentAria talk 08:40, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Chris end.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chris end.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:14, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:PIIJTANW.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PIIJTANW.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:43, 4 March 2008 (UTC). Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:49, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I removed your additions of this category to Disney films. All the Disney films are already in the subcategory Category:Disney animated films so they don't need to be in the main category. Garion96 (talk) 15:10, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Milo James Thatch

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Milo James Thatch, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hey Nemeses...I just saw you deleted "it's Not just Make Believe" on the original song list. But from this MV I thought it was a Disney Princess song...

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Trueform Sailor Galaxia.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Trueform Sailor Galaxia.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kiara.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 05:36, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, we do not add trailer descriptions to film articles. We just link to them, and we have this teaser trailer linked to in the "External links" section. Readers can see the trailer for themselves. Can you please remove the unnecessary description? —Erik (talkcontrib) 19:03, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Don't worry, we will add more information about this film as the release date gets closer. It's just very early right now. Wonder how over-the-top this will be! —Erik (talkcontrib) 19:05, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Black Dynamite article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page. - SummerPhD (talk) 15:43, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Priscilla Renea, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Jessica Jarrell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of Disney princes. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Disney princes. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of PlayStation 4 games, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Foul Play (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Notice

The file File:Bratzsoundtrackcover.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Bratz (2007 film)#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:54, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
