TIMS

[edit]

Greetings, the main question on the title is: when people talk/write about it, do they include "TIMS" in the larger phrase? That is, does the newspaper article say "Recently the Facult of Sport and Tourism - TIMS announced that..." ? It's really up to you (unless it becomes a topic of debate), so I suggest you read Wikipedia:Common name and then make your decision based on that. That way too, whatever your decision, if someone later disagrees you can cite the specific policy that guided your choice. MatthewVanitas (talk) 15:44, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Indeed, the faculty is mostly referred to as TIMS, the longer title often omitted, in order to avoid confusing it with the faculties with somewhat similar names. But I will consult the Wikipedia:Common name section, as you suggested. Thank you very much! Mladen.tomic (talk) 09:51, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I'm sure that once you read the document you'll have a good handle on what to call it. Once you come to a conclusion, it might not hurt to leave a note on the article's Talk page explaining why you ended up at that name, lest someone not realise it was chosen carefully.
