harassment
[edit]Your harassment and abuse will be reported and recorded publicly. Please stay off my articles unless you have a specific and provable reason. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Jordan_Older
- Go for it. Mindy Dirt (talk) 02:01, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- I think I replaced you as his favorite person here. LionMans Account (talk) 22:17, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- No way, Man. I reserve that title for myself... Though the list of competitors seems to get longer by the hour. KDS4444Talk 14:19, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- I think I replaced you as his favorite person here. LionMans Account (talk) 22:17, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- KDS4444 and LionMans Account, in light of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jordan Older (2nd nomination), I accept Buffbills7701's apology (see their comments below and on their own talk page, starting at the section "Jordan Older"). It doesn't happen often that one is vindicated afterward, but the AfD and the ANI thread seem to confirm that at least Mindy knows her ass from her elbow. Thanks to both of you. Mindy Dirt (talk) 15:53, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yay, asses from elbows! We owe it all to, well, to a porkpie hat, actually. KDS4444Talk 03:45, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
CSD tag
[edit]Could you clarify the CSD tag that you placed on Jordan Older? It's always possible that I'm missing something obvious, but I don't see what led you to conclude this article was a blatant hoax. -- Khazar2 (talk) 02:22, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- I don't either. Explain yourself. buffbills7701 02:24, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Khazar, I just left you a note on that article's talk page--thanks. Buffbills, you should really look more carefully. That article's sources are shit, the language is promotional. I mean, did you actually read it? "It is reported that Jordan Older has strong contacts with the top professional soccer teams in the world that help him in the transfers of players and coaches." This is an encyclopedia, not a collection of resumes, which is what this is trying to be. Mindy Dirt (talk) 02:29, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Barnstar (your first?)
[edit]The Barnstar of Good Humor | ||
For this comment at UAA, which needs more people with a sense of humor like yours. — Daniel Case (talk) 02:48, 8 July 2013 (UTC) |
- You know what, Daniel Case, you just made my day. (As it happens, I saw the Gay airline person's first edits go by and also wondered about the name, and then later I saw their response to the report.) Also, thank you for your good work there; it's much appreciated. Mindy Dirt (talk) 02:52, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Nice edit
[edit]I only just noticed your edit to an essay I wrote. Good tweak, thank you! P. S., I was a little surprised to see a covert reference to User:Cassandra at the peak of her insanity on this page. Are you a fan of hers? Are you even, uh, someone I know? Bishonen | talk 12:20, 25 July 2013 (UTC).
- Bishonen, I'm a HUGE fan of Cassandra. Opposites attract, I think: I don't know the truth about anything, and yet still no one listens to me. Thanks for the compliment: from a seasoned and respected editor like you such comments are triply welcome. Have a nice day, Mindy Dirt (talk) 18:13, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
- No one can be wrong all the time. Mindy Dirt (talk) 18:19, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
- (Indeed!) KDS4444Talk 01:19, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
Tabs
[edit]Don't ever think I don't drop in on you once in awhile to see what you've been up to and see if it's interesting— and get a little disappointed when I don't see much. You are kinda dear to me, you see, after all that. Know that you are missed. That's all. XOXO, KDS4444Talk 04:50, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- Mindy, what has happened to you?? Where have you gone? :-( KDS4444Talk 13:05, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, Mindy's been away for a little bit. I appreciate your message, though: we're not here as a social network but hey, it wouldn't be much fun if we started enforcing that rule. Thanks again, Mindy Dirt (talk) 18:11, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Hey, I don't even remember interacting with you, but, I really appreciate you reverting the vandalism on my talk page, you rock. Dbrodbeck (talk) 01:59, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- Woohoo! Thanks. Easy, though--I saw their edit summary go by, and where I'm from "dipshit" isn't used between friends. So you had an article? That's exciting! Sorry you don't have it anymore. Mindy Dirt (talk) 02:01, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, as I noted, I'm pretty sure it never belonged, but I think an ex student of mine wrote it. For some reason that bothers our IP friend.... Dbrodbeck (talk) 02:06, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, you're a professor! Some of my best friends are professors, none of them full though. I've always thought Sault Ste. Marie a beautiful name. Well, good luck with that tenure file, if that's where you're at. Mindy Dirt (talk) 02:10, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- Oh I have tenure, that happened ages ago, next move is to get my final promotion, to full prof (Associate right now). Not sure when I will apply. It is nice to meet you, and thanks again.! Dbrodbeck (talk) 03:04, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi Mindy, I took a look at your new article after seeing you mention it on User:Rosiestep's page. In terms of a DYK nomination, the text has to be at least 1500 characters long (excluding subheads and footnote numbers). This article is just over 1300 characters. Also, the notability of the subject must be verified by reliable sources. While the part about her being a chef does have some appropriate sources, the part about her being a singer doesn't. Please read WP:BIO for how to determine whether someone is "notable" according to Wikipedia standards. Best, Yoninah (talk) 09:46, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'm open to restoring the article, however it would need to be restored either in a userspace sandbox or at the draft space. As it currently stands, there's insufficient information in the article to have it restored in the article space. TomStar81 (Talk) 04:51, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- User:TomStar81, thank you for your response. If you can put it in my user space that would be awesome. Mindy Dirt (talk) 15:19, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- Do you have a specific destination in mind for the article? If so, then please list it here, if not then by default the article gets moved to User:Mindy Dirt/Molly Martin. TomStar81 (Talk) 12:26, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- TomStar81, that would be great, thank you. Mindy Dirt (talk) 20:46, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
- Done, you can find the material in its entirety at the above link. As a friendly reminder, republication of material deleted on Wikipedia via deletion discussion is grounds for speedy deletion, so if you do intend to publish make sure that the intended version of the article space is vastly superior to the one in the userspace; otherwise it'll get the axe again on CSD-G4 grounds. Speedy deletion nomination of Molly Martin
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Molly Martin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cbs527 (talk) 04:15, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
