Afd-bottom

[edit]

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Don't forget to put {{subst:Afd-bottom}} at the end of the deletion discussion when closing them! Otherwise, it will screw up the log and cause some confusion among closing administrators. [1] Cheers! Michaelzeng7 (talk) 01:15, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have been doing a bit in that area, but really only because of the Siharus AFD. I started doing some research to try and work out who he was and whether the two being discussed were, in fact, one in the same. My edits have all been about trying to clarify that for the discussion. I don't really have any understanding of any of the background (beyond what I read during my searches) so probably couldn't contribute much to any project. But I'm happy to help where I can. Stalwart111 03:42, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you mean and I'll certainly have a look. I suppose my point is that I don't know the experts or the sources or where new sources might be found. Fixing obvious policy violations is a great start but it's nice to be able to grow something after a whole bunch of dead-wood-chopping. Not sure about my capacity to grow articles in that space. Stalwart111 03:51, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely understandable; thanks. Please don't be deterred, though, if you'd ever like to contribute. dci | TALK 03:52, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be glad to help, although my time is rather limited for the foreseeable future. You should also contact Ro4444 (talk · contribs), who is also active in the same period and has already written a List of caliphal governors of Sind. Constantine 10:10, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep the Speedball Textbook page available to me

[edit]

I have been a hobbiest calligrapher since 1979... I have been using Speedball Pens for most of that time.

I have collected some of the numerous Speedball Textbooks, but more-so I would like the information to be available to the viewing public that there are 24 different editions of this periodical which Ross F. George started just after inventing the Speedball Pens.

Thanks,

CalligRick (talk) 01:15, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thanks for creating this article. It's now been tagged for WP:NOTABILITY and references. Could you look it over and see if you can help? Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:16, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hoax to A7

[edit]

Hello, You recently changed my Hoax criteria into an A7. May I just remind that the article is about an apparent Educational facility and such does not apply under an A7 speedy deletion. Thanks, John F. Lewis (talk) 22:14, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Muhammad bin Qasim

[edit]

Hello, you did an edit here, without a reason, which is in unjustifiable, there was a reference too, with the name of a country. Faizan (talk) 14:50, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's not necessary for Pakistan to exist. I he is referred to as the first Pakistani, then it is a fact, and that is due to his conquest. Domanicans don't claim Columbus to the first! Faizan (talk) 14:52, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please review your talk page. I explained my rationale there. dci | TALK 15:01, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have read it, and have replied already here upside. Please read it. Faizan (talk) 15:52, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I read your reply quite some time ago. However, I doubt that the claim has any place in the second sentence of the lead. Perhaps, if several further, equally reliable sources can be found on the subject, the info could be placed in a section nearer the end of the page. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to disparage your opinion; it's just not the most important information about him. What really matters is that he was the Umayyad conqueror of Northwest India, and that his work enabled further expansion into the subcontinent. dci | TALK 16:12, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I agree, it can be placed in a section nearer the end. Faizan (talk) 10:27, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Quack?

[edit]

User:REY DE LA ATLANTIDA likes the historicals too. I'm watching, having been tipped off by INeverCry. One of his two so far is a copyvio of The Cambridge History of Iran Vol 6 (good ol' Google Books...). (The other's been deleted.) Possibly some of the other stuff is, too. Hi, thanks a lot for taking up the review. Take your time on the review - i will start responding in the review page. Ssriram mt (talk) 00:18, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, not sure why this was failed after initial acceptance. I understand this is definitely not a fast-fail candidate. A generic time of one week could have been offered given that it is relatively a smaller article and points are easy to address with most criteria already satisfied.Ssriram mt (talk) 00:48, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes please- it would be good if you can highlight the major pieces. In the meanwhile, I am nominating it in GOCE. Thanks a lot.Ssriram mt (talk) 00:58, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I was wondering whether you were still planning on reviewing this for good article. No particular rush. Thanks! Go Phightins! 20:52, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
