Hello Miles, welcome back! I saw on your user page you wrote that it's frustrating to make new accounts every time you forget your password.

If you are able to, have you tried to write it down on a piece of paper? It's not particularly secure, and if someone else finds it they could access your account. But, it is a very simple and tech-free way to make sure you know where it is. My grandmother writes her passwords on a page in her notebook.

I also saw that you asked how to synthesise your accounts. The code used by Wikipedia isn't able to combine accounts, so that is not an option I'm afraid. Nyakase (talk ) 12:17, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ah thank you very much for this and yes, good idea, I will just write the password down, sometimes tech-free is definitely best.

That's really helpful to know about the accounts - thanks for letting me know. It's nice to have contributed a bit in the past even if I messed up with my accounts and I will keep going now. I'm finding the 'newcomer' edit pages are a very good way to find out how to do a few things I wasn't sure about, so will keep working away on some of those
