Very fancy, though it renders rather badly in Google Chrome. All additions to my userpage are welcome, thank you very much! Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 19:35, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Jimmy Jam Jam and the Purity 5 deletion

Hi , why do you guys keep deleting this band's page? I'm new to this and I believe that i have followed the rules and guidelines. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessica c11 (talkcontribs) 00:20, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi, the article was deleted on the grounds that it doesn't assert notability. It doesn't show us why the band is important, and we should have an article on it. Take a look for this criterion at WP:A7, and for general criteria for band articles on WP:BAND. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 09:04, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Please check deletion log on Tpad

I noticed you removed a speedy delete request on Tpad. This article has been submitted (pretty much as is) several times and has been removed as spam each time. This latest submission is by another new user id, which is consistent with the prior submissions. Since this user is quoting and acting consistent with prior submitters, he is apparently acting as a sockpuppet. Please review the history of this article. Thanks! Calltech (talk) 00:54, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I only see one prior deletion as spam in the logs. I don't believe it to be blatant advertising. It has no "get your copy here" sort of stuff on it. Tagging it as advert souds reasonable, but speedily deleting it seems too much. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 09:01, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

WT:UAA and names over 25 characters

Hello Martijn. I notice that User:Rspeer has now joined the discussion. It may be hard to convince him without actual data and examples of the over-25-character warnings. (e.g. '100 very long names were flagged in one month, and 70 of these were abusive'.) Do you know if the output of the HBC NameWatcherBot can be searched, to collect this information?
