re: assembler userbox

[edit]

Well, this way it looks like something I want on my user page and is a bit more consistent with the other userboxes. I you prefer the old text, however, might I suggest you use a custom box as described on Wikipedia:Userboxes? Cheers, —Ruud 17:40, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Question. How is Phaedriel's comment related (see below)? What's that about? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.129.72.242 (talkcontribs) 01:25, 15 February 2006 (UTC.

It was unrelated, like most talk on talk pages. See her page (use history for earlier versions) and talk. —Last Avenue [talk | contributions] 05:22, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aww thanks Avenue!

For the beautiful gift you gave me! That guy was reaaally nasty - but I doubt he'll be hitting you anytime soon... and if he doesn, I'll be waiting for him ;-) If I can be of further assistance to you, just *whistle*, k? Cheers! -- Phædriel 22:18, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am looking for help for a project that I am doing and I noticed that you list yourself as a computer programmer with javascript and html skills. I have left a message with the Computer help desk but have yet to receive any replies or comments. Any help you can offer would be wonderful.

I am looking for an easier way to parse and separate red and blue links at the missing encyclopedic articles project so that valid blue links can be removed and article that need to be created can be grouped together. See this edit (before and after) for the kind of work that is being done currently by hand. If you can provide assistance by writing a script or referring me to another person who might be more helpful, I would greatly appreciate it. Ideally it would sort the html and return wikisyntax that could be entered back in, though I would be grateful with anything. Thanks in advance. --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 15:02, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed your speedy deletion tag on this article. I believe consensus has dictated that all A-roads in the UK are to be kept. B-roads, however, are usually deleted. howcheng {chat} 00:15, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox

[edit]

Hey, where is the "This user would rather die..." anti-Apple userbox? Where's it gone?

Changed. See Template:User apple sucks and click on History. —Last Avenue [talk | contributions] 01:25, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's right here:
Mac

pod
This user would rather die than become a mindless AppleCorp consumer-drone.

Side of the road (traffic) -vs- Rules of the road

[edit]

Hello. I see you've done a lot of work on Rules of the road and Side of the road (traffic). However, there seems to be quite a lot of duplication between the 2. Did you have a plan for how you were organizing it? The reason I ask is that there are chunks of Rules of the road that could be merged into Traffic I wanted to understand where you were headed with it first. The drive on the right/left section is getting so big it could probably be an its own article. Ewlyahoocom 16:01, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The plan is currently being discussed at the Talk:Rules of the road, at the bottom the page. The plan is to move the traffic laws stuff to Traffic law, and move the left/right stuff to Rule of the road. Right now, we have to wait for an admin to do the job, 'cos a copy-paste move wouldn't work too well. Then, stuff about left/right could be pointed to Rule of the road, and then Rules of the road would be a disambig page. Again, it's on Talk:Rules of the road, at the bottom. —Last Avenue [talk | contributions] 18:51, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Digital Cinema

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to digital cinema and it's talk page. However, the topic is about the distribution and projection of movies, not about the recording and digital effects. As it says all over the page, these items should be moved to digital cinematography. It would help us out a lot to help find a home for these discussions and topics on that page instead.

Also, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. —Wikibarista 08:08, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The Void (album)

[edit]

The article The Void (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Primary artist has been deleted. Therefore its recordings are usually not notable. This one certainly has no assertion of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 00:54, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest

[edit]
US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
