Bond film distributors
[edit]I don't know where you're getting all this "silent partner" information. Licence to Kill, GoldenEye, and Tomorrow Never Dies only have the United Artists logo on them (identified as an MGM company). MGM didn't take the lead till The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day, although a couple before LTK were marked as MGM/UA. You can find this in the copyrights for the films on the back of the boxes. See: here for a decent compilation of them all. K1Bond007 19:04, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Bond companies and distributors
[edit]I can understand what you are saying but the thing is that I know an awful lot of information about the companies involved in producing and distributing the James Bond films, and I have seen proof that the information I am trying to give is correct. Here is a list of things that prove that it is:
As for "Licence to Kill", I know it was distributed by MGM/UA because I found a picture of an offical movie poster on the internet and if you look very carefully in the bottom right-hand corner, it says in tiny writing "Distributed by MGM/UA Distribution Co", go to http://www.impawards.com/1989/license_to_kill_ver1.html
As for "GoldenEye", at the very end of the tail credits it says "Distributed by MGM/UA Distribution Co".
As for "Tomorrow Never Dies", at the very end of the tail credits it says "Distributed by MGM Distribution Co", even though it only has the United Artists logo.
Another thing is that after MGM took control, United Artists still co-owned the rights to the Bond films and still do today, which is why I have put down "silent partner". Another thing is that all the offical James Bond films are copyrighted by Danjaq LLC and United Artists Corporation.
Terminator 3
[edit]Terminator 3 is not German. Please stop saying so. It is distributed by C2. Please stop removing it. And please stop saying Terminator 2 is French. ColdFusion650 12:20, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
You're ignorant. Look at this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181852/combined There's proof that my T3 information is correct. And another thing, the end credits of T2 say "Presented in association with Le Studio Canal+", Le Studio Canal+ is a French company so therefore France is a country of origin. - IMDB is user edited and does not cite its sources. It is not acceptable as a source on Wikipedia. ColdFusion650 12:37, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- IMDB is not user edited, users send updates and the administrators carefully check that the information is correct before updating; unlike Wikipedia which sometimes has edits applied immediately by people like yourself who don't know what they're talking about. In fact, who are you to say "IMDB is not an acceptable Wikipedia source", you're not a Wikipedia administrator, Wikipedia administrators rely on IMDB all the time. You can leave the editing to people who actually know about these things. Kieranthompson
- Wikipedian Administrators do not use IMDb all the time. See the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Citing IMDb, running consensus is that IMDb should be used very cautiously. As, I can give plenty of examples of where IMDb's "carefully checked" facts were "completely wrong". BIGNOLE (Contact me) 12:57, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- You have reverted edits on Terminator 3 four times in the last 24 hours, and Terminator 2 four times in the last 24. That violates the three revert rule. Please refrain from any more reverts. ColdFusion650 13:15, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Release dates
[edit]
Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines#Release dates, France is not a primarily english speaking country, so it is not used in the infobox. BIGNOLE (Contact me)
- You appear to be adding it to the "country of origin". Country of origin is depicted by the primary rights holder. As Connor McLeod would say, "there can be only one". We don't list the country of every single production studio who might have helped out in the financing. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 12:43, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Again, there is only 1 country of origin. You do not include every production studio that helped finance, just the primary rights holder. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 12:54, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Comedy Central Ownership
[edit]Comedy Central is 75% owned by Paramount British Pictures (Viacom) with 25% owned by BskyB. [1]. Comedy Central is not listed on on the MTV Networks Europe website [2]. - Jasmeet_181 (talk) 23:22, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
