Reliable sources

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, including your addition to List of gestures. Unfortunately, the source you added is not a reliable source sufficient to verify the content you added. You linked to a video of someone making a gesture. What is needed, though, is some published item – not including self-published items such as blogs or YouTube videos – that describes "quenelle" as a gesture implying sexual humiliation. Please see Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources for more information. Thank you, and happy editing. Cnilep (talk) 23:53, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. You obviously have a great interest in the quenelle gesture, as can be seen from the fact that you have edited List of gestures three times to add details about the gesture. Those details do not match the single source cited on that page, though. May I suggest that you try editing Quenelle (gesture) instead, and cite sources as appropriate? List of gestures is meant for "links to Wikipedia pages that discuss particular gestures, as well as short descriptions of some gestures that do not have their own page."
