Thai Premier League

[edit]

Tell you what my friend, don't bother editing the page. For one, there are 16 clubs, why just put on 6 stadiums? Also, these 6 clubs are Thai so please use the Thai football stadiums not the Japanese one's your doing. Also, your missing 10 clubs. Whats wrong with them? If your going to do edits, then do it properly, or i'll just revert until it is.

What you are doing looks good, but it has to be correct, doesn't it? I'm assuming if you don't respond then you will just ignore me and then thats when we will get a bigger issue with the page. Druryfire (talk) 14:24, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Todsakorn Bunpen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 12:46, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Todsakorn.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Todsakorn.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:07, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

September 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Todsakorn Bunpen, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 15:14, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. The repeated removing of the {{db-bio}} makes no sense, Jerdzaa. I've already pointed you to the notability guideline for footballers. The criteria for inclusion are clearly explained there. Did Todsakorn Bunpen play for a fully professional club at a national level of the league structure? I doubt it, as he's 12 years old. And the most important thing: could you cite any sources? Thank you. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 16:00, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jerdzaa, it is difficult to understand your comment. Do you want to say that Todsakorn Bunpen is a famous player in Thailand, because he is one of the very few youth players from Thailand playing for junior teams in England? I can't read Thai language and I can't recognize how "famous" he is in your country. However, he clearly fails the criteria for footballers, as I said previously. Please, ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Thailand for a better advice. Have a good day. I'm sorry for your lost work. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 17:12, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bangkok Glass F.C.

[edit]

It's great that you are getting involved in Wikipedia and editing the Thai football articles, but could you please do them correctly. For example, Bangkok Glass football club are not Krung Thai Bank football club, so why would they want to have there football records??? Bangkok Glass bought there place in the league, they didn't buy there history. Think about that. Druryfire (talk) 18:41, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at this page 2010 Chonburi F.C. season, this is where you can put your squad list's, same for all other teams aswell. It saves the main page from having big updates all the time as the squads will change from season to season. This page is dedicated to just 2010. All TPL clubs are covered. Druryfire (talk) 19:09, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Muangthong page looks correct, but previosuly there was a Creast section with three badges, these seem to have disappeared. Could you put them back on?? Druryfire (talk) 19:28, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thai football - lets make t work

[edit]

Gents,

I think the time has come to try and use some kind of standard for the articles of our Thai football teams from TPL down to the RL leagues. Some look a mess, some information is back to front. We need to settle on some templates.

Can anyone suggest ideas??

Here's some from myself:

  • Brief introduction. Doesn't need to be big. State the team's full name, year formed and location.
  • Club History - How the club was formed, who owns the club. Break it down into sub sections for yearly summaries if need be. Could be incoporated into the timelines some pages have
  • Club Creasts - The clubs shirt badges seem to change yearly, lets show non thai football experts how the clubs have developed. Show the club logo's and give brief explanation of how they developed.
  • Season by season records - I suggest the table below is used for all teams
Season League FA Cup Queen's
Cup
Super
Cup
Kor Royal
Cup
Asia Top goalscorer
Division P W D L F A Pts Pos Name Goals
1996-97 TPL 34 9 14 11 37 44 41 12th

1999 TPL 22 11 6 5 35 23 39 3rd Asian Club Championship - R2
2000 TPL 22 14 7 1 48 14 49 1st W Asian Cup Winners Cup - QF
2001-02 TPL 22 15 5 2 41 11 50 1st W Asian Club Championship - R2 Worrawoot Srimaka 12

2008 TPL 30 16 7 7 50 31 55 3rd Anon Sangsanoi 20
2009 TPL 30 15 6 9 53 34 51 4th RU RU RU TSW Cup Winners Anon Sangsanoi 18
  • Club Honours - are these called honours or achievements? Do you show runners up achievements aswell as winners medals?
  • Continental Competitions - Vital the performances of our teams are shown but they already in the season by season table, do we need it?
  • Coaches - A table of coaches past and present along with associated honours
  • Current Squad - Do we need to show transfers? They have yearly pages per TPL club to show this

Generally this is the basic requirement, in my opinion in this order. What are your opinions?

Can anyone create a page, probably in the Thailand Portal so we cna have a checklist, maybe assign certain users to certain pages so we don't undone what other people have done and discuss! Druryfire (talk) 21:58, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Vittaya .jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Replaceable fair use File:WitthayaHloagune.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:WitthayaHloagune.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 04:34, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. Continuing to remove file deletion tags from file description pages on Wikipedia, as you did to File:WitthayaHloagune.jpg, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Eeekster (talk) 09:29, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
