Request reason:

1) I honestly do not feel like what I did was "metapuppetry" since I was not persuaded to contribute but did so out of my own free will because of an interest in the subject area. 2) I clearly have made at least some contributions to wikipedia over a multi-year period and did not create this account to cast a single vote. 3) I promise not to contribute to any of your debates again for fear of being reprimanded by a heavy handed administration but rather make my occasional edit. 4) I genuinely apologize for the misunderstanding and for getting involved in the political world of wikipedia. You have succeeded in discouraging my participation. Mea culpa. Jcs7708 (talk) 18:17, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I just realized that I experienced a WP:BITE.
Please read WP:NOTTHEM. Including comments about "heavy handed adminitration" etc. does not give a favourable view to your unblock request. - The Bushranger One ping only 17:04, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Heaven forbid that anyone question the great and powerful administrators. Adamc714 (talk) 23:34, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I apologize for the last block request not paying due respect to the administration. 1) What I did was wrong. I actually didn't know that what I did was wrong nor do I, after reading the article, see what I did as a violation of the rules. However, I acknowledge that I am operating in a system in which the administrators make, interpret, and enforce the rules. Thus what I see as right and believe to be right an administrator says is wrong, is wrong to me. Ergo, I am able to make the first statement and mean it, "What I did was wrong." 2) I have learned my lesson. My offense of venturing into the Articles for Deletion page and commenting on issues that interested me along with someone with whom I agreed and in whose physical presence I was was obviously a violation of the rules. I have no interest in repeating said violation nor will I ever again comment on an articles for deletion page. In fact, I will avoid any participation in any activity other than creating and editing pages and will always, without question defer to the judgement of an administrator. I promise to not even argue with an administrator or make any statements that could appear as argumentative or even defensive of my actions if something I do is called into question. 3) I honestly just want to create and edit pages related to things that interest me. However, I will certainly stay away from articles that relate to academia. 4) I genuinely apologize to the administrator who blocked me and the entire Wikipedia community for failing to educate myself of the rules and then avoid the mere appearance of violating them before I chose to contribute. I hope this situation will be swiftly resolved so I can return to editing in a constructive way under the authority of the administrators. Jcs7708 (talk) 3:41 am, Today (UTC+1)

I may be misreading here - and if so, I apologise - but what I'm seeing above is basically a poor attempt to sea-lawyer your way back into editing - appearing to abide by the terms of an unblock request whilst simultaneously trying to claim the moral high ground by inferring that you are being forced into obeying a ruleset you believe to be flawed. On the face of it, I should unblock you, but the tone and implication of the above statement do not seem in any way genuine to me; as such I'm declining this appeal. Request reason:

I would like to try to again reintegrate myself into the Wikipedia community. I realize that I violated a rule nearly a year ago when I "voted" on an articles for deletion page. I should not have done this and understand how this kind of behavior threatens the credibility of the Wikipedia project. I think Wikipedia is a wonderful resource and would genuinely like to contribute to making it better. I have worked constructively in the past on improving articles and I would very much like to continue this work. I feel as though enough time has elapsed from the original episode to, at the very least, indicated that I am no longer emotionally invested in it and won't act accordingly. I again apologize and promise to do my best to follow the rules of the site. I believe that in the future I would like to find an administrator of some kind who could help me on projects or at least answer questions so I don't find myself in a similar situation again. Thank you for your consideration.

Accept reason:

I am willing to give you another chance in view of what you say, and considering the amount of time that has passed. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:53, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
