I'm wondering if you could clarify for me which, if any, of the following people are also you:

I ask because all of the above seem to be focussed primarily or entirely on the Annie Loyd article and the associated deletion discussion. Note that it is not a violation of Wikipedia policy to use a variety of accounts; however, it is a violation of policy to pretend to be several people in one discussion or issue - such a practice is called sockpuppetry. Since you're new and may not know the rules very well yet, I thought I'd check with you about this before I did anything unduly confrontational, such as opening a sock-puppetry investigation or requesting a checkuser on the I.P.s you've edited from. Anyway, please let me know. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 00:05, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

None of them are me. I use my own name. Jan Ziff. Feel free to Google me. I host a daily technology spot on CBS Radio News- have done for 18 years. I am currently advising the San Carlos Apache on a series of issues, one of them being the upcoming congressional elections. We are watching Annie Loyd and Mary Kim Titla with considerable interest. I suggest you check the IP addresses of the other posters. I think jbogs3 is a young student from Phoenix whose name is James. Other than that, I can't help you. I can tell you that I was using Wikipedia this morning, I use it often - it's a great resource - and was checking on Annie when I saw that the article about her was being considered for deletion. I don't think it should be. So I added my two cents. Contact me again if you need further clarification. best Jan Ziff

PS: The easiest way to do an IP look up is http://ws.arin.net/whois/ -- if you run those two IP numbers you'll see one is in New York and the other in Atlanta, on two different systems. So unless someone is using very sophisticated spoofing software, which I seriously doubt, those posts are from different people.

Hi Jan - thanks for your response. I believe you. And I realized that the two I.P.s weren't the same as each other, but thought that one or both might nevertheless be the same as one or more of the accounts. Again, thanks for your response. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 06:36, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
