User talk:JC the Builder
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ultima Online: Time of Legends, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.uoguide.com/Ultima_Online:_Time_of_Legends.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) - I wrote the content for that page with the intention of copying it to Wikipedia. I don't see an issue. - JC the Builder (talk) 18:39, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- Then follow the instructions for giving us permission to use the material. Anyone can claim to own the copyright to something on the web. Without proof that you actually have the right to assign permission to use it we cannot do so. Meters (talk) 18:43, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- What I meant was all the information in the article was reworked from the official documenation. I added a reference if that helps. This is the same layout as all the other Ultima Online expansion articles on Wikipedia. - JC the Builder (talk) 19:34, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- The article is available at Draft:Ultima Online: Time of Legends. We require article topics to have significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources. (?) Right now the only reference is a primary source—the dev's website. I recommend building it out with sources from the video game reliable sources custom Google search. As for the state of the other expansions, they should be improved to the minimum standard as well. czar 21:32, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
