Welcome!

[edit]
Howdy, JBel, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your contributions; you seem to be off to a good start. Hopefully you will soon join the vast army of Wikipediholics! If you need help on how to title new articles, see the naming conventions, and for help on formatting pages, visit the manual of style. For general questions, go to Wikipedia:Help or the FAQ; if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. If you have any more questions after that, feel free to ask me directly on my user talk page.

Good catch!

[edit]

You are absolutely correct about the equation concerning the quantity theory; it would only have been correct given some sort of normalization, which ought to have been effected explicitly (exactly by writing “” &c). I have fixed the expressions accordingly. SlamDiego 17:25, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spondon

[edit]

Keep an eye out for the Robert Priseman - artist - listing - one has had bother from the more nerdy editors over this before - his own website did not list Spondon - just Derbyshire. Spondonian (talk) 14:42, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rock of Ages

[edit]

Thank you for your interest in the hymn Rock of Ages. Toplady received his religious conversion under the preaching of a Methodist preacher, and early espoused the teachings. His later dispute with Wesley was based on the teaching of Calvinism (predestination), not on the teaching of sanctification, which we believe he espoused. Without and real original source, I think that the use of the line, "Save from wrath, and make me pure," which is found in old Methodist Episcipal hymnals and others, should be the use in WP. Keep me informed if you find any earlier sources. รัก-ไทย (talk) 05:20, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, JBel. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
