Notice of absence
[edit]Just to tell anyone who needs to know, I am going to be away for a week between about the 23rd and 29th of July (I may not be editing for a couple of days either side due to fatigue). Just thought I'd explain my absence in case anyone disagrees with my edits in some way. If you have any issues you need to discuss with me, leave them here and I will attend to them when I can. Thanks y'all!! Hydraton31 01:35, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Pictures of recorders
[edit]I am currently in the process of taking some pictures of my own recorders but am encountering difficulties such as:
- My camera has run out of batteries and they take at least 12 hours to recharge
- My wooden bass recorder is currently being repaired and will not be returned for another week or so.
- A close relative is ill
- I am a chronic procrastinator and am very lazy.
So I'll complete this when I can but please feel free to beat me to it (it won't be that difficult). --Hydraton31 04:48, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Finally took the photos of my treble but still haven't found time to label them or take pictures of my plastic bass (the wooden one still being repaired). Hope to upload the photos soon! --Hydraton31 21:14, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Uploaded the pictures, now I just need to get them into the article itself. --Hydraton31 20:57, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Notice of more permanent absence from editing.
[edit]Over the next year I am likely to have very little time to edit Wikipedia at all and so I suppose I am more or less on a year long Wikiholiday. I may edit a little now and again but I will be unable to make so many edits as I have been doing. This is due to workload problems which are likely to become much worse until sometime in May (that is a rough estimate) when they may relent somewhat. If you desperately need to contact me, try e-mail but this might not be too fast either. Thanks everyone and hope to be editing soon! --Hydraton31 19:36, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank-you
[edit]for your eagle-eyed edit to Batu Lintang camp. I love WP:Wikignomes! Jasper33 19:22, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Estonia in World War II
[edit]Thank you for cleaning up Estonia in World War II. Your help made a true difference and is most appreciated!--Termer 06:51, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure about which unit is this article. In poland there is no separate branch called Piechota Morska (Marines). There is only 7. Brygada Obrony Wybrzeża (7th Coastal Defence Brigade) subordinated to 12 Dywizja Zmechanizowana (12th Mechanized Division), part of Polish Land Forces. 7th Brigade is sometimes unofficialy called "Blue Berets" or "Polish Marines" because this unit is usualy cooperating with 2. dywizjon Okrętów Transportowo-Minowych - 2nd Transport-Min Layer Task Force of Polish Navy. On the other hand Polish Navy has is own unit: Sekcje Działań Specjalnych Warynarki Wojennej (Section of Special Operations of Polish Navy) but this is rather equivalent of SBS or Navy SEALs. Radomil talk 09:53, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, there is also 1. Morski Pułk Strzelców (1st Marine Shooters Regiment)... but currently this is logistic unit of Polish Navy Radomil talk 10:06, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- so you've got:
- 7th Coastal Defence Brigade - their main page doesn't works, but sub pages are OK ;)
- Section of Special Operations of Navy - no official site
- 1st Marine Shooters Regiment
Hoax tag on Knatten
[edit]Hi there. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Swedish geography (I'm sure not :) ), but I found this [1] information about Knatten. As it suggests that the Knatten article isn't a hoax, I removed the {{hoax}} tag. ~ Danelo 14:42, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- I myself am have essentially no knowledge of Swedish geography but the source seems reasonable. Many thanks for clearing up after my mess. --Hydraton31 21:16, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Thanks for fixing that image setting on Ernest Emerson. --Mike - Μολὼν λαβέ 17:23, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice
[edit]Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Dealing with vandalism
[edit]Hello, thanks for trying to deal with vandalism on Wikipedia. However, in your edit to Civil engineering, you didn't quite get rid of all the vandalism; similar mistakes at Bothnian Sea and Pret a Manger caused a few more problems (I nutted out the latter issue using a tool called WikiBlame). According to the edit summary search tool, you've been fond of reverting vandalism before, so perhaps you've forgotten a few things over the years. In any case, if you find bad edits to an article, be very careful when trying to undo them. Graham87 15:55, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
- No worries. You may also be interested in Twinkle, a tool that makes reversion and warning of vandals much easier. Graham87 09:13, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
