Hey again. I decided to propose deletion on File:Parks and recreation ron and tammy.jpg, which you uploaded. The image will be deleted if the PROD tag is uncontested for more than seven days. --George Ho (talk) 02:01, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion on a couple more images

Sorry to bother you again. I placed PROD tag on File:Parks and recreation park safety.jpg and File:Parks and recreation summer catalog.jpg for my concerns about their compliance with WP:NFCC#8. The images will be deleted if tags are left uncontested for more than seven days. --George Ho (talk) 02:18, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

The Brute Man

So the FAC is still going on and the issue of the images have been brought up and one of the reviewers advised to contact you. So J Milburn has some concerns on the licensing with them. So if you are able to address some of these issues that would be helpful. GamerPro64 02:40, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

  • Hey GamerPro64, thanks again for handling that FAC. I went to check out the licensing issues you mentioned and it sounds like the main issue is with this photo because I had been under the mistaken impression that it was public domain, but it turns out it is not. I believe use of the article could be justified with a fair use rationale explaining that the article illustrates Hatton's facial features due to acromegaly, which are a major aspect of the film and the subject of significant discussion in the article. If you agree with this course of action, let me know and I can try to write up the rationale. (I saw there was also an issue raised with the MST3K image. I think a fair use rationale could possibly be argued that the image provides an illustration of how the film is incorporated into the episode (with the silhouettes in the foreground) in a way that makes it clearer than the text does. But that being said, if someone pushes for its removal, I'm fine with dropping it.) — Hunter Kahn 22:02, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
Yeah I think there is significance with the picture. But meanwhile I think with the opposition in the FAC about the sourcing issues is going to make it difficult to work on. GamerPro64 21:02, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Would you suggest just removing both photos then, for the sake of the FAC? If so I'm fine with that. Or if you instead want me to take a crack at strengthening the fair use rationale for the non-MST3K photo, let me know. — Hunter Kahn 16:40, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
  • If you think we should cut our loss with the photos I am fine with that. I just am not sure I can fix the sourcing issues that was brought up since I do not have the sources to fix them. GamerPro64 20:16, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I just took a look at the FAC. I saw the sourcing issues identified, and it also looks like JM found a couple other reliable sources that might result in more content and analysis that need to be added to the article. I'd love to address the issues and work on the article in the future, but right now because of personal circumstances I'm not sure I have the time and energy to put into it, unfortunately. Do you think it would be best to just withdraw the FAC for now and maybe revisit it in the future after I'm able to make a concentrated improvement effort? Or do you want to give it a go yourself? If the latter option, I can try to address some of the old sourcing questions... (If you don't want to give up the FAC, I can try to get a bit more involved with it; the timing right now is just a bit difficult...) — Hunter Kahn 21:21, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello

Greetings! There are two episodes left until the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian. Are you planning to expand your articles about season 1 characters and write about season 2 characters soon? AaronSprouse (talk) 06:53, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

This is to let you know that the Homicide: Life on the Street (season 2) article has been scheduled as today's featured article for January 6, 2021. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 6, 2021, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.

For Featured Articles promoted recently, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.

We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:19, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

I notice you've done a lot of work bringing Star Wars related articles up to a high standard. I would really appreciate if you could take a look at Draft:Bo-Katan_Kryze and maybe comment on the talk page about what you think might be needed to improve enough at least enough for it be acceptable in mainspace instead of as a draft article. Thanks. -- 109.78.195.140 (talk) 04:33, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Article feedback before FAC

Hi Hunter, I know you aren't as active as you used to be, but would love to get your advice and feedback. I've been trying to get feedback on an article I've worked on, 1997 New Mexico's 3rd congressional district special election, before I send it to FAC -- the last time I sent a campaign article there, I got walloped pretty bad. I'm trying to do an approach this time where hopefully, I can address issues before they start. I've created a peer review for the New Mexico article, and would love both to get your thoughts and any general advice that would be helpful for me to consider before going through the FAC process again (mostly because you created this phenomenal article here. Thanks in advance either way! Nomader (talk) 00:01, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

LOL u a famous "Woke Wikipedia" editor now!

NY Post: Wikipedia users rush to document 'Thursday Night Massacre' after Twitter suspends reporters

"Woke Wikipedia users rushed to memorialize Twitter's decision to briefly suspend a clutch of liberal reporters who the company says violated their terms of service. In an article entry which labeled the event the 'Thursday Night Massacre (Twitter),' Wikipedia described the decision to briefly suspend the journalists after they shared info related to the flight coordinates of owner Elon Musk's private jet. 'The term Thursday Night Massacre wasn't intended to be editorializing, but rather was the term that was trending on Twitter after the incident and was used by several journalists to describe the event afterwards,' said page author Hunter Kahn, explaining his decision on Wikipedia’s backend 'talk page.' "

Haha, nice one! :) Cheers! 98.155.8.5 (talk) 04:10, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Replies on move discussion

Re [1], whether you feel like you have something to say or not, replying to every oppose !vote in a move discussion would be an issue per WP:BLUDGEON. Speaking hypothetically here since replying to 2 !votes is hardly enough to warrant an accusation. VQuakr (talk) 19:11, 29 December 2022 (UTC)

  • VQuakr Thanks for sharing that essay. I'm not actively trying to respond to everyone who disagrees with me, but rather with specific instances where I disagree with an interpretation of policy or guidelines. But you are correct that I have responded to several oppose votes at this point, so your point is well taken. — Hunter Kahn 19:18, 29 December 2022 (UTC)

"Headlines—including subheadlines—are not a reliable source"

Greetings! Your reference to the Mediaite headline referring to the "Thursday Night Massacre" is not permissible. Please see WP:HEADLINES (i.e., headlines are not reliable sources). The only reliable source for this that remains is the Reuters article, which attributes the phrase to "one security researcher" who "labeled" it as such. Please review the WP guidelines and policies regarding sourcing and attribution. If you have any questions on this particular edit, let's discuss on the article's talk page. Thanks! Kalem014 (talk) 18:17, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
