Your Teahouse question

[edit]

No one answered, but if there is a technical question you want to ask, WP:VPT might be appropriate, even if it involves Wikimedia.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:33, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Vchimpanzee:Thanks a lot! I will do that.

Small request

[edit]

Hi Houdinipeter,

I noticed you're active at the graphics lab. I would like to make a small request. Can you make West Virginia dark green on this: File:US_states_that_recognized_Armenian_Genocide.svg. I'd appreciate it. Étienne Dolet (talk) 23:54, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@EtienneDolet:  Done ! :D
Houdinipeter (talk) 01:04, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome! Thanks. Also, I like your service with a smile! Étienne Dolet (talk) 01:16, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Global cannabis map

[edit]

Hey man, not too harangue you for changes, but just wanted to list them easier for you since we have limited graphics guys.

Re this map: File:World-cannabis-laws.png

  • Maine needs to be colored blue now that apparently it's settled (unless there's a re-count that finds otherwise, but it's settled as it'll be for now)
  • I really think we're misleading people having Bangladesh blue; I just wrote Cannabis in Bangladesh and the sources I'm reading say it's clearly officially illegal, and technically you can even get the death penalty for trafficking cannabis. Bangladesh might deserve being the "illegal but tolerated" category, but it really shouldn't be blue. I see a lot of passing mentions online, from recent years, listing Bangladesh up there with Uruguay, which is totally not the case, so it may well be that our little map is misleading folks who aren't doing their homework and are just speaking off-the-cuff from Wikipedia.

Thanks for any graphics help once you nip back in! Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 07:54, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney: Done! And is there a template or should we make one for the "Cannabis in..." series? Houdinipeter (talk) 17:38, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know of any global template, can't help you there. While I've got you, just one more thing that needs to be fixed:
  • On File:Map-of-US-state-cannabis-laws.svg, right now you have North Dakota and Arkansas as too dark, they should be the same colors as Montana/Louisiana since they're all Medical Only without decrim.
  • Optional, but if you want a clearer layout rather than the stars, I think those three states might be easiest to mark by striping them with "Decrim" color and "CBD" color, just an idea.
Thanks again for the graphics help! Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 04:34, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Changing North Korea

[edit]

I produced Cannabis in North Korea and the general consensus is that nobody really is sure what's going on up there. The chart Legality of cannabis by country has it grayed out, but on the map it's blue. Could you change the blue North Korean to an Unknown Gray on this map: File:World-cannabis-laws.png? Thanks! Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 21:06, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done! I also updated the states from the above section, but I struggled with the stripes you requested. Houdinipeter (talk) 02:33, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

World map adjustments

[edit]

Hello HP, when you have a chance I have a few changes for the world map based on all the cannabis-country articles I've been fleshing out:

  • Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador are all decriminalized, should be Orange. The only red in South America will be the three in the top corner.
  • Mozambique hasn't decriminalized, no idea why it's orange, should be Pink
  • Malta recently decriminalized, so the little gray dot below the boot of Italy should be Orange
  • Slovenia should be Orange
  • Afghanistan has basically no rule of law and produces a ton of cannabis, so should be Pink

Thanks again for your help correcting the mis-label of North Korea, that was validating a lot of shaky guesswork from the blogosphere.

Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 02:35, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done :D Keep sending the requests GLM! Houdinipeter (talk) 03:14, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks dude, I'll keep an eye out for any other changes; map looking better and better as we refine it! Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 05:27, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"420" collaboration

[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Cannabis, you are invited to help organize the project's upcoming "420" collaboration, which is scheduled for April 2017. Yes, we're a few months away, but we're hoping to get the ball rolling by getting buy-in from experienced Wikipedia editors and seek help fleshing out some goals and ideas for a successful campaign. We also plan to conduct both on-wiki and offlline outreach so non-Wikipedias can also contribute. If you are interested in participating, please sign up and contribute to the ongoing discussions. All editors are welcome! ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:36, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for signing up! Looking forward to seeing your contributions in April. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:33, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffree Star cannabis laws in Wyoming

[edit]

Hello, I opened up a discussion on whether cannabis laws should be mentioned on Jeffree Stars page. I figured I’d reach out since you’re involved in Wikipedia:WikiProject Cannabis. If you could share your thoughts that’d be great. Thank you! Pillowdelight (talk) 00:42, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
