Not a good idea

[edit]

I suggest you remove the invitation to others to edit your user page. The place to have others communicate with you is here on your talk page. By convention user pages are only edited by their owners. Best wishes. --Greenmaven (talk) 03:00, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Investment

[edit]

Hey there! I just re-launched the WikiProject Investment.

The site has been fully revamped and updated and I would like to invite you the project.

Feel free to check out the project and ping me if you have any questions.

I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!

Cheers! WikiEditCrunch (talk) 16:03, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Double Entry Book Keeping Intro Example

[edit]

Your original layman's example:

For instance, to record making §100 in profit would require making two entries: a debit entry of §100 to an account called "Cash" and a credit entry to an account called "Income."

needed improvement but it has evolved since that time to be even less clear -- at least to this layman -- so I'll just refer to your original example: If I make a profit, I can understand why it might be in a credit entry. I can also understand why it might be called cash or income. Why would it be a debit entry? Jim Bowery (talk) 23:05, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
