DYK for RMS Persia

[edit]
Updated DYK query On October 19, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article RMS Persia, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Wikipedia exists due to the contributions of volunteers like you. Thanks Victuallers (talk) 02:00, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SS President for DYK?

[edit]

Hello, GRUBBXDN. I have nominated SS President, an article written by you, for WP:DYK. You can see at the proposed hook (a one-liner to be used on MainPage) here. If you are interested in having your work featured on Wikipedia's MainPage, please review the comments and respond there at your eariest convenience. What the DYK clerks want is more footnotes and specific referencing in the article, particularly about the facts in the hook. Please feel free to post alternate hooks there. Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 20:42, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I've tweaked the first paragraph of the SS President article and posted a different hook for DYK here. You may want to have a look. Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 02:52, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome, GRUBBXDN. I'm glad that you approve of the hook. Happy editing. Cheers! --PFHLai (talk) 21:27, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:A&P Store 1880s.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:A&P Store 1880s.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

June 2013

Information icon Hello, GRUBBXDN. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. 76.248.151.159 (talk) 16:45, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've removed descriptions of the publications, as they appear to have been self-sourced. Information about the books may be expanded, if the content is accompanied by non-primary sources. Thank you, 76.248.151.159 (talk) 16:45, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

November 2015

[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 15:22, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
