Hello, could we have a discussion?

Hi, I'm User:Pedant, and I'm a member of the association for Member Advocates. We help people, with anything related to wikipedia. I'd like to have some discussion with you about Keane and the difficulties being experienced with that article. Would you be willing to discuss it with me? I have had the same thing on articles I work on. Here we go, the rules are everybody has to assume good faith, and that we all share a goal, to make a good encyclopedia. (And also to make a good encyclopedia, we need to make a good Keane article, that tells everything we can find, that's true and verifiable from a reliable source and relevant to Keane.

OK got me so far? To force others to work with you, you only have to expect them to, the rules really say that, that you and they must assume that you share a goal.

So if you copy the piece of text that you want them to not remove, and paste it onto the page at Talk:Keane, they will see it there. And with it, you put some explanation of why you think it should stay, and ask for anyone to say why they think it should stay or go... ok? Now they must discuss it with you, or they are breaking the rules. And if nobody can say why something needs to be deleted, nobody will be allowed to keep removing it.

The rules are something we all have to follow. So you may insist that people discuss changes.

Also remember that we work with the consensus process, and try to come up with edits that everyone will want, and feel free to ask for opinions from your collaborators. If you work together with them, you will make more good progress than to not work together.

Just be nice to your fellow editors, remember that they are people interested in what you are interested in. If you could meet them maybe they would be your friend.

You can't write well. You're biased. You can't write well. You're obsessive, and you don't understand what sort of information actually belongs in an encyclopedia. You can't write well. You're a stereotypical teenager and can't be trusted to document something in the style that fits Wikipedia. You can't write well.

Please, cut the crap and don't have edit wars with people. Don't revert things and talk about "power". Don't censor talk just because it's something YOU don't like the sound of.

Don't waste time by nominating terrible articles.

Grow up a little. Think before you act.

License tagging for Image:Keane-Maybe I Can Change.ogg
