Harlow Bus Station moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Harlow Bus Station, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mccapra (talk) 20:33, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • For future reference it probably is disruptive to create this form of article in mainspace which looks like timetable summary with no cited prose infomration or history of the bus station itself which might contribute to notability. Some bus stations might be notable, I have no clue if Harlow is one of them. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 20:54, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Stations with no exit has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence that this list topic has received any attention as a group. Not everything that exists and may even be individually verifiable is a good topic for a list.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fram (talk) 16:21, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Translation of what you see above: for a subject to exist on Wikipedia, we need to show that the subject has received a good amount of coverage in reliable sources first. In this case, that means sources which talk about "stations with no exit" (not just a source for each one, but sources about the group). If you've seen some of those sources, just edit the page again, remove the "proposed deletion" at the top, and add the citations. I googled a couple of the stations together, but they didn't yield much coverage. It's an interesting list (I enjoyed googling images of the stations that are only there for a scenic view), so I hope you can find good sources for it. If you want more time to work on it without other people doing things like tagging it for deletion, just say so and we can move this to a place intended for works-in-progress. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:45, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stations with no exit

[edit]

Have added to the list, but did not do formatting. Since New Jersey now has two entries, should probably be handled the same way as Switzerland. Would you mind? Thanks. Djflem (talk) 12:15, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible to ask for 'refund' of this page to your user space so that you can continue to work on it. I think you got something there.Djflem (talk) 00:11, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion and Wikipedia:Userfication are the places to look. As a new user, as as was mentioned you can state that "published" article too soon before having a chance to fully flesh it and reference not and wooed like to have it back to work on. Never done it myself, but think that how it goes. Djflem (talk) 17:01, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The first thing to do is to discuss a userfication from the closer. If their is no response within 48hr then goto WP:REFUND. The only caution I would put is some of the concerns is the suitability of the subject for a mainspace article, and you might want to get support at Trains for that. Thankyou.
