Romania
Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Romania has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
I would suggest that you go through the sections in the article on the Economy, Infrastructure and Demographics and try to update any older statistics if possible.
Best of luck with the GAN.
Regards,
Twofingered Typist (talk) 12:40, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
- Oh my god, I never saw so much dedication especially that you put references in there, thank you so much! The Romanian WikiProject would be proud.(Or atleast amazed). Editoneer (talk) 19:48, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
- You're very welcome. It it is straight forward, sometimes it is just easier to look up the information, find a citation and fix it. Twofingered Typist (talk) 20:06, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
GA Review
Thank you for your detailed and extensive review. I have addressed your issues but may still need to add on some more citations especially for the recipes and so on. Will continue to work on it throughout the next few days, best regardsJJNito197 (talk) 21:05, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Um, you could just write a response on the GA talk page, but anyways thank you. Editoneer (talk) 05:50, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Romania you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Hurricanehink -- Hurricanehink (talk) 22:40, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
Romania
Hello:
I see that you have asked for another copy edit of the article Romania. It appears from your request that you expect the editor to fix all of the questions the reviewer has about the article's content. That is not what we do at the Guild of Copy Editors. In my earlier note to you I suggested that the article needed updating and the GA reviewer has found other issues with the article's content which need to be addressed. I would suggest that your request for a copy edit is premature until all of the content issues are addressed.
If you agree, you can withdraw your request on the Guild's Request page.
Best wishes moving forward with the article.
Twofingered Typist (talk) 12:39, 9 April 2020 (UTC).
Thanks anyways. Editoneer (talk) 08:36, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
History of Romania
Hello, Editoneer. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for History of Romania at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! Cheers, Baffle☿gab 03:50, 15 April 2020 (UTC) |
- Hi, Editoneer, I've done the requested c/e but the article is a long way from Good Article status. In particular it lack references so I've added some templates to mark these sections and help you find some useful sources. There is also no lead (top) section, which should summarise the article's content but should not include information that does not exist in the main body. Anyway, i've done the best I can with the article; good luck with your planned GA nomination. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 03:50, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. Editoneer (talk) 07:48, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Editoneer, what is delaying the completion of your GA review here? You requested a second opinion and got one, and I'm not sure what else you're looking for from the article or the nominator. Did you want someone to actually finish the review for you and/or make the final decision? The review has been open for about four months; it's time to actively work toward completing it or to hand it on to someone else who will do that task. Thank you for your work to date. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:23, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- It has been over a month since your last post to the review. I'm hoping you'll return soon, but if not, I'll ask the second-opinion editor to conclude the review. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:19, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- I apologise if I caused any trouble, I forgot about Wikipedia. Editoneer (talk) 16:01, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
The Hatchet (novel)
Hello, Editoneer. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for The Hatchet (novel) at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! Cheers, Baffle☿gab 03:23, 26 February 2021 (UTC) |
- Thanks for the barnstar! But, in all honesty, I had not seen your request (I think this was done on a page that I don't follow, I should try to find out how that works), but rather, The Hatchet page popped up on my watchlist yesterday (I had made the second edit on it, back in January 2007), and I got interested in it again after all these years. I was surprised to see User:Baffle gab1978 was also editing at the same time, but somehow we managed not to get into edit conflicts. At any rate, maybe the page can still be improved, I think there is still room for growth there. Turgidson (talk) 14:30, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- Seems weird to me that they didn't warn you about that and thank you anyways. There's indeed room for improvement there, for example, this novel is being taught in 8th grade in Romania. And there's more details in the book but I don't have that. So what do I do in this situation? Editoneer (talk) 14:38, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- One possibility would be to have a section on "Legacy", where one could discuss in more detail the cultural impact of the novel (movie, radio drama, etc), as well as the tidbit that I found fascinating while researching this subject – the references in the novel to "Crucea Talienilor" and "Drumul Talienilor" that I figured out came from those Italian stonemasons who built a cross in 1914 at the top of the mountain pain that Lipan traverses. It turns out that the cross was destroyed in fighting right after August 23, 1944, but a picture that I added to the article still remains; also, the road itself is now named colloquially after Lipan (according to sources). I put a bit of this in the captions for the pics, but really most of that should go in the text, with some added references. Finally, and perhaps more importantly, there ought to be a section on literary criticism and/or appreciation of the novel, philosophical meaning, how it fits in Sadoveanu's opus and Romanian literature at large, etc. A lot to do... Turgidson (talk) 15:13, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- I suppose after those changes I can also check for peer reviews and thank you. Also if you're interested in the Romanian culture, you're most welcomed in the Wikiproject Romania. Editoneer (talk) 15:29, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
