Amzi

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your message. You're clearly correct that I linked to the wrong Zechariah. I'm surprised that I fell into that trap, as about 10% of my edits have been to Zechariah pages! It's only because you made a link to the main Zechariah that I stumbled across Amzi.

I've taken out the "pipe" i.e. | from a couple of your links, e.g. Levite, as you only need it when you want the link to display text as part of your sentence that is different from the article heading.

You'll see that I've added a link that goes straight to Merari. This only works because Merari is set up as a heading in the target article.

So, why the interest in Amzi? Just practising? As you practically admit in the article, it's not as if Amzi deserves a separate article at all. In fact, the best thing to do would be to move the content to List of minor Biblical figures. You could them leave the Amzi page as a redirect to the Amzi heading there. If you leave it as it is, the whole article is liable to be deleted as non-notable. List of Biblical names is the only article that links to Amzi, and some automated bot is liable to mark it as an "orphan" which could lead to deletion after a while.

If you edit this text you'll see some more hints. Welcome to Wikipedia, and feel free to ask me for help any time! - Fayenatic london (talk) 00:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help Me!

[edit]

I would like to move the contents of Amzi to a district article List of minor Biblical figures, but am not sure how to do it properly. I have looked at the MetaWiki help page on moving articles, but am still not quite clear on this issue. Do I enter "List of minor Biblical figures#Amzi" as the new title page, or should I do it some other way?? Please help me so that I do not make a mistake that would negatively affect the Amzi article or the page being redirected to. --Edgaredna 05:25, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List with ====Amzi==== at the appropriate site. On the Amzi page, remove the information, and replace with #redirect Amzi. Replace Biblical figures with the appropriate information. Cheers! Real96 05:31, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
