File no longer available
[edit]{{helpme}}
I wrote this article starting from a FIFA document I saved on my computer some time ago. The name of the document is BusanDraw_All-1.pdf. Doing a Google search will eventually lead you to this link: http://www.fifa.com/wc/2002/draw/BusanDraw_All-1.pdf The file is no longer available on the FIFA.com page. However, I managed to find an explanation of the seeding system in an PlanetWorldCup.com article. The pdf file contains the following key phrase: "Virtually identical to the method used in 1997" - referring to the seeding formula. I'd like to write an article on 1998 FIFA World Cup seeding but I would have no source for it. Any ideas? Edgar 12:16, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- The Wayback Machine has an archived copy of the PDF file you found here. The file has that phrase and should be just fine to use as a source. This page provides information about how to cite such archives and on how to use the machine for future reference. :-) Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:33, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Cupa romaniei 2007.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Cupa romaniei 2007.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 07:52, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Source for your edits on Father's Day
[edit]Hello there! Would you please indicate the source on which you based this edits on: http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Father%27s_Day&diff=199341768&oldid=199322653 The reason for which I'm asking you is that I too come from Romania, but this is the first time I hear that 1) Romania celebrates the Father's day a day after the 8th of March (which is what you marked) and 2) Romania celebrates the Father's day at all (it was marked on the 5th of May before you changed it). I'll try to check the history in order to see who added this information in the first place, but if you have a source I would be very interested to check it! Thank you very much! Sincerely yours, --Vlad|-> 16:14, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Feel free to bring back my edits. Or not.
May 5th is a publicity stunt by Bergenbier. In 2007 they set up a site [7] and chose May 5th as Men's day. Why May 5th? It's pretty obvious... It's the first Saturday after May 1th -> barbecue, mici and, of course, beer.

userbox relocation
[edit]Hi, just a heads-up that a userbox you have on your pages (re Hypercholesterolemia) has changed location to User:Sappho'd/Userboxes/HasHypercholesterolemia - there's also a new related one at User:Sappho'd/Userboxes/HypercholesterolemiaFINE if you feel that might be more appropriate.

A few questions to you
[edit]Hi. You seem like an expert in all questions about FIFA World ranking so I thought you can know the answers to some questions.
1) How did FIFA treat 2008 OFC Nations Cup? As a contitnetal cup finals or WC2010 qualifiers?
2) How do FIFA treat AFC challenge cup and Central American/Carribean championships? As friedlies or continental qualifiers?
3) How do FIFA treat cases when teams intentionally send age or otherwise restricted squads for Continental tournaments? (Like Brazil did once with Gold Cup and Uguguay did at Copa America'99 and Mexico is going to do at Copa America 2011) Are the games still counted as full internationals?
4) How do FIFA treat games (usually qualifers) which are played on home/away basis but in the end decided by PSO? Are penalties ignored? Similar question for small tournament knockout games that are considered frindlies from FIFA standpoint - are penalties counted or ignored?
Thanks in advance.--NineInchRuiner (talk) 14:46, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi! When in doubt, check the FIFA "Fixtures and results" section.
- 1) WC 2010 qualifiers.
- 2) AFC Challenge Cup - friendlies. UNCAF/CFU championships - continental qualifiers.
- 3) Brazil's 2003 Gold Cup matches are considered full internationals. Don't know about Mexico - we'll see in 2011 if FIFA will add their matches to the fixtures list.
- 4) Penalties are never ignored. See FIFA Ranking: Flaw in the calculation

Orphaned non-free image File:CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 08:02, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Cupa romaniei 2007.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Cupa romaniei 2007.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 13:59, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- I got permission from the owner (Cosmin Dan - former colleague of mine) in a discussion we had using an instant messaging service. I suppose that wouldn't be considered official enough so I asked him to write an e-mail to that permissions address.Edgar (talk) 07:40, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Mersi !Alexiulian25 (talk) 14:35, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
