Warning

[edit]

If you continue your slow edit-warring on Kochi, India you will be blocked. There are other simple ways to handle content disputes including WP:3O and WP:DR. —SpacemanSpiff 05:56, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Please help

[edit]

Hi, Unfortunately my edits are blocked for the same reason. I have dropped a mail to the blocking admin (couple of days back) in this regard and waiting for the reply. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) (comment added by 192.193.164.811:05, 20 March 2010)

Request reason:

I am not the sock of any one. I have my own identity. Can you explain, on what basis I was blocked? --Dewatchdog (talk) 10:48, 15 March 2010 (UTC) I am still waiting. No admins have yet attended to this request :( --Dewatchdog (talk) 16:46, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A WP:CHECKUSER was run on this account that determined that you and User: Rajithmohan, along with two anon ip users were most probably all the same user. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:29, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You need to re-check this. I read through WP:DUCK, and went through the contribs of Rajithmohan. I couldnt find any similarity with my edits. Then how this falls under DUCK? Please provide me the details and convince me. Else, this is very much unfair and discouraging. I can understand, if I am being blocked for edit warring; but calling a sock is something which is difficult to digest, as I am not. I have my identity. Please provide me the details regarding how you arrived at the conclusion to block me. Thanks a lot. Also, since I am very new to wikipedia, I failed to understand some of the policies, and I am learning from my mistakes. I will be more constructive in my edits and will be positive towards other editors. Kindly help me in lifting the block. Thanks a lot, --Dewatchdog (talk) 03:36, 20 March 2010 (UTC). Can any one please help me in this matter ? -dewatchdog[reply]

Evidence from blocking admin and at other places provides strong behavioral connection between this and other accounts. Jayron32 00:23, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have contacted the blocking admin for further input. However, even if you are NOT editing via sockpuppets, your edit warring behavior is itself problematic, and should be addressed. --Jayron32 04:00, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I admit my edit-wars. As I told earlier, i was not familiar with many things. When the other user(user:Gantlet) started to revert my edits, I got involved in edit-warring with him. I shall be constructive and positive going forward. Thanks.--Dewatchdog (talk) 10:05, 20 March 2010 (UTC) I was not having any account in wiki earlier. When I saw the edits in Kochi article and some ongoing reverts, I copied some other's user page and created my account. I then directly got involved in the reverts and tried to maintain the neutral tone of the article by reverting the edits of User:gantlet. Then it became personal with that user and things went a nasty way. I extremely regret. --Dewatchdog (talk) 10:23, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot say that edits such as this, nor any of your other edits to that user's talkpage are helpful. It's amazing how you and Rajit seem to have such a wide range of similar interests and come from the identical IP address. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 16:56, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Even after an year of block, I am still intereseted in unblocking my account. As I stated earlier, I am not the sock of any one. I am using my office IP for edits which is shared by thousands of employees across the globe. Hence there are chances that one or more users are editing wiki using the same set of IPs. Also, I am still editing wiki without using any username. So, what is the point in keeping my username blocked? Also, please note that I have not created another account to evade the block. I hope that admins will take a look at my plea again. Thank you, Dewatchdog (talk) 04:21, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Your request made an entirely common and facile argument. As made clear above, it isn't just the IP similarity that led to the block (and I can also assure you, even though I am not a checkuser-enabled admin, that the technical evidence can go a lot further than just the IP). We are convinced the accounts are operated by the same person. You haven't convinced us otherwise, and I daresay that by making such "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" unblock requests, you add weight to that conviction. — Daniel Case (talk) 11:59, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
