Welcome!
Hello Dav24873, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Just a small point, it is not generally regarded as correct to use initials like LNWR etc for the first mention in an article. Again, welcome! NoelWalley 12:39, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your help
[edit]Hi, I've noticed your recent edits to some railway-related articles. Thanks for the great work you've been doing - its always good to see more editors working in this area. One small not, I see you aren't making much use of edit summaries. These are very helpful to other editors, so this is a small plug for you to use them. There's more information about them here. Anyway, thanks again for your help. All the best, Gwernol 11:12, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback. I will try and remember to use the edit summaries. Dav24873 11:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Caernarvonshire Railways
[edit]Thanks from your comments. There are all now tagged as Category:Disused railway stations in the United Kingdom and Category:Disused railway stations in Wales. Still work in progress as still have to work from Caernarfon to Menai Bridge and I also hope to get 2006 photographs of the sites in the next few months.

Railway stations in Wales
[edit]Hi again, Yes, I agree with you that the station categorization scheme is currently a mess. I'd suggest the best approach would be to start a discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_UK_Railways. The WikiProject UK Railways is a forum for editors interested in the subject to dsicuss exactly these sort of organizational matters. If we can reach agreement on how to proceed it should be fairly easy to correct this.
By the way, when leaving messages on talk pages, its a good idea to sign at the end. You can do this by adding ~~~~ (that's four tilde characters) at the end of your comment. This automatically gets converted to your username and a timestamp. Best, Gwernol 12:39, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
