Godzilla Unleashed

Hey Clyde, as you have probably noticed on the Godzilla Unleashed Page, Angry Sun is doing a poor job. I was just wondering how do you block a user from Wiki, as I would like to do it to him. - DaxterKing

Well what about? Not agreeing with someone isn't enough to get him blocked. If he violates the three revert rule, go here, or if you think he did something that deserves to be blocked, read WP:BLOCK then go to the administrators noticeboard incidents, take a look at how a complain is logged, then add yours. What exactly is he doing a poor job with? Also, could I recommend removing the space at the beginning of your userpage. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll do it.--Clyde (talk) 18:23, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Where's Ikiroid?

Hi Clyde. Any idea where he is? He seems to have taken an extended wikibreak! --NigelG (or Ndsg) | Talk 10:34, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Godzilla: Unleashed edits

Is there a reason why you keep making several small edits in a line, clogging up the contribution history? Please try integrating all the external links in as few edits as possible. Just64helpin 00:55, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

The reason why I make several small edits is that if someone doesn't like a particular change, they can revert it without removing the rest of my work. As it was, I had a couple edit conflicts and was forced to adjust. The reason why everything was so linear was because I did not know how far I was going to go on this. Originally, I planned on only one reference as an example, which turned into two, which turned into six. Each time I remembered I had to remove that particular external link, and each time I thought I was done, and each time I kept doing more. I'm ready for the onslaught of reverts and anger, and the more precise the reverts can be, the better off we all are.
Plus, with a rather high traffic article like this, the recent history will be washed away with new edits soon anyway. I guess I expected a more positive reaction from the editors who wanted this heated debate on the talk page to end, whether it took nine edits or four.--Clyde (talk) 01:08, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Plot and gameplay

Remember in the TimeSplitters 2 article, you suggested that Gameplay be put before Story which was done so? In both Perfect Dark and Half-Life 2 both Featured-class articles, Story precedes Gameplay. What should I do? -Wi Account ki 06:23, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Sorry for the wait, I haven't been on much. If you didn't just look on your own, this says it all. It's really your choice and what suits the article better, although gameplay first is preferred.--Clyde (talk) 00:38, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh, now I get it. Since TimeSplitters 2 barely has a story and the game hardly relies on it, it should be organized AFTER gameplay while Perfect Dark and Half-Life's stories are a bit more prominantly featured in the game explaining why they are shown preceding.
Also, do you think it should be mentioned somewhere in the article how TimeSplitters 2 was featured in the movie Shaun of the Dead? -Wi Account ki 21:38, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
I suppose you can mention it in the legacy or something, just make sure it is referenced, encyclopedic, prose, and non-trivial. I'm wary, but go ahead. BTW, it's not in good taste to go around mocking other articles on their talk page. People who consider the article their opus at an immature stage will and have taken offense. Those people are in the same boat as us, trying to improve articles.--Clyde (talk) 02:07, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

By the way, how did you find the article? Giggy UCP 22:10, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh well, thanks for the note. I left an angry message on AoMH discussing it, because links to the vandahaal's website have been popping up regularly. It might stop now... Giggy UCP 00:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Hey Clyde, when you get the chance, could you please have a look at this article and tell me what it needs to get to FA level? I've compared it to Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War, and other then a noticeably larger reception section, I don't really see any differences. Maybe you can? Giggy UCP 04:26, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for that. I'll definitely go over the prose a few times before taking it to FAC, but it's good to know where it stands. Giggy UCP 22:09, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi Clyde! I'm currently copy-editing this article and there are a few instances where the information contained in the article is incomplete or confusing. I've commented the sections that I think need work; also I would appreciate it if you could check over my changes to make sure I haven't introduced any inaccuracies. Please don't, however, do any extensive copy-editing of my work, or edit anything that I haven't yet covered. Thanks in advance :) --carelesshx talk 16:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

"Please don't, however, do any extensive copy-editing of my work, or edit anything that I haven't yet covered." - I only meant that while I was actually using the article, now that I'm finished, go nuts with it! As far as list vs. prose, I don't really have a preference there. If the standard is prose, then fair enough --carelesshx talk 12:45, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I recommend reverting it. Although lists are good in some formats (business writing, some technical writing, and even our own Manual of Style), they are discouraged on Wikipedia articles. — Deckiller 11:45, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Question

I am grateful for it, but tell me why exactly did you help me with F-Zero GX? Was it just a coincidence or do you own that title? FMF 16:42, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

So you do not own a F-Zero game, right? FMF 14:43, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Excellent, so would you please take this, copyedit it to a "decent" standard and place it back in the article, that's doomed to remain a B-class Captain Falcon. FMF 23:04, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Seriously though, do what you can with it since that is the only "issue" remaining. I would at least like that to be taken care of before any future "announcements" garner outside attention to the article and probably force me to seek semi-protection of the article. In the mean time, I will gather sources for my next GA project, F-Zero AX. FMF 00:39, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mill.PNG

Thanks for uploading Image:Mill.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
