Information icon Hello, I'm IHateAccounts. An edit that you recently made seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not put userboxes in talk pages. "A userbox (commonly abbreviated as UBX) is a small colored box (see examples to the right) designed to appear only on a Wikipedian's user page ", per WP:TPG. As you can see, they also break things terribly, as your userbox here has done to this notification. Thanks, IHateAccounts (talk) 22:09, 15 January 2021 (UTC) IHateAccounts (talk) 22:09, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It also appears many of your userboxes violate Userbox content policies. IHateAccounts (talk) 23:49, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Let me know what bothers you, and I will try to fix it. Charles Juvon (talk) 00:18, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get what you are even trying to do here, Charles. Why are you creating so many userboxes? What is there you hope to gain by creating so many?
Ps. Please read WP:NOTHERE. –MJLTalk 00:25, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I was planning to contribute some userboxes, so I made a bunch before deciding which to prune out before before making templates. If anything is a problem, I will fix or delete them. I have been very careful about copyright violations, and very careful to remain neutral. Given the Covid lockdown and the recent insurrection, I also thought some humor would help so long as it is not defamatory or offensive to anyone. Charles Juvon (talk) 00:43, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Friendly greetings, Charles Juvon! You have made great progress with your user page, although I found [this image] rather spectacular! NB: I like your userboxes. Don't feel chided or oppressed by IHateAccount's rebuke. Also, it seems as though he has been blocked from Wikipedia in the interim between now and when he left you that grumpy message... I lol'd at the quasi-forensic level of detail that was used in the investigation. BTW, let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything. I am not bitey especially to esteemed chemistry professor newbies. --FeralOink (talk) 06:32, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@FeralOink: Thank you for your kind remarks. Yes, that user really freaked me out in terms of writing acceptable userboxes, so your encouragement is much appreciated. I plan to move about 50 userboxes to a userbox gallery on a rather foolish day. Charles Juvon (talk) 17:50, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or write things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Village pump (idea lab). Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Charles Juvon, you honestly don't seem the least bit interested in improving the encyclopedia part of Wikipedia at all. –MJLTalk 19:09, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please look at the intro I just wrote for my user page. Charles Juvon (talk) 19:12, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Charles Juvon. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Secular Intelligent Design".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! tgeorgescu (talk) 00:21, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Please do not link to facebook (or other social media) pages - these are extremely unlikely to be WP:RS (except in the rare case that they are a direct statement from a verified government account), and it looks more like spam and self-promotion than anything else. Take this opportunity to also review the guideline on reliable sources linked above. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 18:17, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Charles I was looking at your 3d version of the Genetic Code. Apart from the arrows I can agree with your presentation. It matches mine. Why did you label the first level G.A.C.U-> and the other two U.C.A.G-> ?

H2mex (talk) 19:14, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That was probably done to "corner" the aromatics and stops in the upper right so they stand out. Charles Juvon (talk) 19:21, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They stand out regardless as one of the most distinct pieces when U and G are at the ends. May I show you my thoughts with this page I created RNA Codons

I remembered you liked "Cocaine Cowgirl", and life's only real if you're a memory, so there you have it. InedibleHulk (talk) 04:08, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@InedibleHulk: Wow, thanks. Haven't listened to that in a while. Have you run across this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvJElTaR5kM . On other affairs, I've noticed that WP isn't doing a very good job on COVID or Biological Warfare, so I started this: (link removed) Charles Juvon (talk) 23:34, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've run across "covers" like this. Bit too virtual and socially distant than the metal I know, but her finished digital copy isn't out-of-sync and she's pretty, so that's good. I could agree that other job is not so good, but then They'd have to kill me! InedibleHulk (talk) 01:24, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Charles Juvon: please stop advertising your facebook page indiscriminately. That is not the purpose of wikipedia.— Shibbolethink ( ) 15:55, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not advertising. That's a huge list of references. Charles Juvon (talk) 21:35, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of what it is, it's inappropriate to host any post off-wiki and link to it repeatedly in every discussion. Consider putting those references in a wiki user space essay instead, so it avoids the appearance of promoting your facebook group.— Shibbolethink ( ) 21:38, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly greetings, Charles Juvon! Your facebook group page is a really excellent reference source. You have scrupulously and grammatically annotated each link. Also, I am impressed that the page is accessible to me as a non-Facebook user. Finally, I noticed that you have a well-informed crowd of comment visitors, who add yet further helpful information. I have found some of your links on that page to be useful in my Wikipedia editing. Do not allow anyone, even Mr. Secret Thinker, to discourage you. You are a valuable contributor to Wikipedia! I will rummage around and see if I can find an appropriate barn star with which to thank you for your efforts.--FeralOink (talk) 11:48, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@InedibleHulk: Thank you for your kind words. Please continue to watch my group. Daszak and friends are scary. The raw dump of sequence data from Wuhan appears to have contaminates that include weaponized Nipah. We still don't know what Fauci told Andersen / Baltimore and these 77 Nobel Prize people to get them onboard for a coverup. I fear there is an extortion threat. If this is the doctrine of unrestricted warfare, I also fear some directed energy weapons (Havana) have been used on our government leaders. What a weird world when DARPA is defending us from NIH viruses. We might be in the process of explaining the Fermi Paradox. Charles Juvon (talk) 19:46, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't watch Facebook, but I'll be sure to Google some of those more intriguing keywords, thanks! InedibleHulk (talk) 00:55, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Shibbolethink. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Talk:Rand_Paul have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Please stop advertising your facebook group in talk pages via posts about WP:PRIMARY material (such as grants). Advertising your fb page is not the point of wikipedia, and continuing to engage in promotional activity like this could result in your account being blocked. — Shibbolethink ( ) 15:58, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations on chasing of an expert in biological weapons with 45 years of experience. I agree with Larry Sanger. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/larry-sanger-i-wouldnt-trust-wikipedia-and-i-helped-to-invent-it-cflrhmdhx Charles Juvon (talk) 21:33, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I saw Larry Sanger on Tucker Carlson's television show a few weeks ago! Tucker interviewed him about Wikipedia. Larry was courteous. He did not speak harshly of Jimbo nor of Wikipedia. I like Tucker's show! Hope you are doing well. (BTW, I have added your giant blinking user box to my sandbox collection, but am having some trouble getting it to blink.)--FeralOink (talk) 11:52, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I saw that too. With Facebook having groups, one can become an admin and run a tight ship over there. One billion members in groups. The art groups are very good, and "Art Reveals Society" is funny. I started an (anti-) Biological Warfare group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1154470481693356 . That's a perma-URL so you don't have to be a member to take a look.
